Hi everyone.

I've been using iTaste VV 3.0 units for a while, but I'm tired of them randomly pushing up the daisies and showing error codes. So, plan is to just use my reliable eGo-C 650mAh with an Aerotank mini for times I need a small device, and get a real mod for not-so-discrete times. I can't spend a fortune, so entry-level is the name of the game. I have an option currently to pick up a eVic v2 kit (1 battery, usb charger) or Vamo V5 kit (two 18350 batteries, dual charger) for *roughly* the same price. I plan on picking up a new, larger Aerotank (not sure which size) to keep my coils consistent. I don't plan on going sub-ohm, nor am I interested in pushing super high wattage.

I'm torn.

I know the eVic is older, and v1 had issues. But it seems a better made device and firmware updates should keep it "current" somewhat. I'll also want to eventually pick up spare batteries and a stand-alone charger.

The Vamo is newer and may have more "bugs" worked out, but not sure. The batteries and charger are cheap and will need to be replaced eventually, so 'm in the same battery/charger boat that the eVic puts me in.

Suggestions on which to get?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I just purchased the evic about three weeks ago... it has really serious problems charging batteries so if you get one you might want to think about picking up an extra battery and charger for it... its a rather flakey mod. I like it and all but every now and then it does weird stuff like just shutting down for particular reason it can also be difficult to connect to a computer (and I am a computer tech so...) as it seems to have problems identifying itself. If you can get buy with the false battery power readings and its inability to really charge a battery then its actually pretty cool.
