As the title says, I am in the market for my very first APV. I've been vaping since March 17th using this little ego twist battery that was in a starter kit and I want to upgrade a bit.

I don't have 200+ for a Provari so thats out the window.

Out of the evic & mvp2, which one would you personally rather pick up & why?

Thank you! :)

From personal experience, I never thought I would tolerate a box, but I kept reading rave reviews on the MVP 2. I bought a vamo, was disappointed with its performance and short battery life, looked at a Provari, which I could fit into the budget, but found it heavy and awkward. I decided to take a shot at the MVP2, which after shopping I found for around $50 delivered with an extra tank, etc. I love it. Battery life is very, very long. Shape is easier to handle than I thought…no regrets whatsoever.

I've owned both and loved both. They are both good in my opinion.
The evic is good in the fact it gets updates, you can change the tube, it had a removable battery, and if you like it has atechie aspect.
The mvp is good if you want super long battery life, a box, not having to worry about changing it batteries, pretty solid and cheaper.

If you are a tech geek it might be worth it to you to get the evic. Mine broke it was first run and they since have fixed the issue. And I'm considering getting another. I have everything ranging from ego to provari.
I'm not a tech person so to speak but the fact you can update it really impresses me.
Most video reviews that have been made on it are from the first update or 2 and it's been improved since then.
That said I seen you are now leaning towards the mvp. You've already heard all three great things about it so I'm not going to restate them lol. It really is great. My only issue with it is the non removable battery.
I'm my opinion you can't go wrong with either

I don't know what my EVIC cost in $, but I'd guess $140.. (?)

I wish I'd bought anything else to be honest. In 2 months the threads started to shred and in 5 months (using this mod only at home out of work hours) the wiring broke... and Joyetech don't warranty the wiring.

So, it went in the bin. My SID has already outlasted it, and I expect my MVP too as well.

For the best value...the MVP is what I'd recommend. For flash and tech appeal....the EVIC. For a reliable, sturdy unit that can vape at higher wattage (real wattage..) and is very simple (sort of an ant-EVIC)but is still VV, I'd say the Buzz Pro. For long term reliability, performance, and a wealth of info on its use ( wealth of info on the Buzz too} The Provari..but you'll pay for that. For power and flash a DNA 20 or DNA 30 box mod. It's all good! Enjoy !

I have an eVic and a close friend has the MVP2. The Evic battery is replaceable when it wears out. The MVP is not.

Either are good for the money. I prefer my eVic, both for the form factor (I don't care for box mods) and the replaceable, upgrade-able battery.

The software is nice and I like the screen and menus on the eVic. Is it nessasary? Nope. But it is nice.

Unless Evic has some magical firmware to upgrade to 20 watt support, don't bother..the price of an Evic will get you 20 watter from China now and in few months the prices crash after they release their 30 watter.

Stick with MVP, and in a year or two..you can upgrade if you need it.

I own both, and after some point your will literally never use any other function on the evic besides changing watt/volt. It can do some neat tricks but in the end they are pointless. Also I was playing around with it yesterday along with a mech and the trusty Mvp and a taifun gt. For some reason on the evic it kept giving a short message, while the Mvp read 1oh and vapor fine. Weird.
