evod 100mah usb battery problem

I have the evod usb 1000mah battery. I went to use it this morning and it would not turn on. I did press the button 5 times to activate it and it would not turn on. It is fully charged. Can anyone please help me with this.

Okay, I'm going to ask the obvious question. How old is the battery, because they don't last forever.

Any luck? I'd try hooking it up to the charger again for a few seconds or minute, then try to fire it up again.

I only bought it 5 weeks ago and yes I have trying hooking it back up to the charger. it shows it as fully charged.

I have a couple that do that once in awhile. Sometimes the brass or gold looking contact gets pushed around if your comfortable messing with it you can use a paperclip or something of that nature to pull it back up or into place. Seems like i have one that gets pushed down for some reason and I use the edge of a knife to very very gently pull it back up into place. Its a common problem with them. However if you are worried you might mess it up then dont mess with it.

Ok so I tried moving the gold post. It still is doing the same thing.

Just try tapping the hell out of the battery button. Other than that, there isn't much you can do.

5 weeks is disappointing, but sometimes they do crap out. I'd say you've been unlucky this time as they are normally more reliable than this. A replacement would probably do you better.

Are you sure that you raised the center pin enough? This is actually a pretty common issue with the center pin not making contact with the atomizer connection. Usually from over-tightening the tank onto the battery connector.




Does the fire button's light turn on at all? If not, you've got a dead battery. Battery life expectancy drops if you charge the battery overnight while you are sleeping and it stays on the charger too long after being fully charged. batteries do not like the "trickle charge" that a charger provides to the battery after a full charge to keep it topped off. Too long receiving these trickle charges results in poor battery life and a decreased life expectancy.

thanks for all the info. yes did pull it gold pin up some more. yes it wont turn on at all. I am going back to the shop I bought it from since it is still under warranty and see if they will honor it.

update. went to my local vap shop. They told me sometimes you can reset the usb style evod battery when it wont turn on by using the screw on battery charger. Apparently it resets the battery. It worked in my case. Now mine turns on as it is supposed to.
