Specifically looking for tips on cleaning the coil(s). It's a dual bottom coil, of course, and the thing is built such that I cannot seem to get the post to budge to pull it. I took apart an old burnt out one and remember it being rather... complicated in there, lol. So I'm not sure I would be comfortable pulling it apart even if I could. It just doesn't seem to get totally clean with a basic rinse. I'm a little worried to rinse it with really super hot water because I don't want to wear the bits out, but it seems to hold a bit of the flavor between the rinses I've been doing up until this point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I get some filtered water out of my cooler in a pot, i throw in a few spoonfuls of baking soda and I toss the coils in and let them boil on high for 10-15 minutes. I also find the coils for those a tad complicated inside. But this seems to work and squeeze a couple more weeks out of the coil. Just make sure you rinse them good after and blow gently through the hole in the bottom of the coil to get an excess water to come out the top. You can try dry burning them afterwards. I just screw the coil back into the base and put it on the battery without the tank, fire the battery for 3 second bursts until you can see some glowing when you look down the tube. Sometimes some crap will burn off sometimes not. Personally i rarely do that as I find everything tastes burnt afterwards, but rinsing again after helps.
