I have to shutdown and restart Firefox and Thunderbird every few days because of memory leaks. Which causes things like some things not displaying, operations becomes slow and sluggish, etc. I can't play videos longer than 90 minutes under Firefox, for example without restarting it. Mozilla originated from Netscape, which also suffered from memory leaks dating back from the 90's. Netscape maintained that Microsoft purposely targets their products to not work too well under Windows.

well, the reason i didn't do a hard refresh earlier was a windows 10 update during the night and the usual restart that comes with an update. so, when i ran into that problem, ff had been running for just a few minutes :?:

When I got to work last night this was sitting by my door with a note on the box saying "Roku works but the sound doesn't"
So I check it out. To get sound back to it from the TV one must use the HDMI port on the TV labeled "HDMI ARC".
If the TV have no hdmi arc port then the fiber optic cable must be used.
Here's where the guy most likely went wrong. Optical cables come with a tiny protective cover on each end that must be removed, I'll bet that he didn't remove them. It works fine. Later today I will offer it back to him.
