Yeah, a little "ketchup" this morning. It does seem to be a time of political "upheaval". Certainly the strangest year of politics I've ever seen.

I'm a little ambivalent(?) about Brexit. I do have some British in me and I always felt Britain should be an independent country, maybe the Conservative/Libertarian in me. On the other hand there are economic advantages to being in the EU. Question is are those economic advantages worth letting a bunch of people in Brussels run Britain? Guess not, by 1.7% or so.

In terms of Trump/Hilary it's not much of a choice. Just the Libya and Benghazi things are enough to take Hilary off my list. Throw in the email server and the Clinton Foundation and it's a no brainer. I guess I'm banking on Trump being smart enough to surround himself with "experts" and listen to their advice. Problem is an expert is a former drip under pressure. Based on his business performance he does seem to do that pretty well. We can only hope. I would be a lot happier if he had a greater understanding and knowledge of the Constitution though. I am amused when people talk about his lack of experience considering Obama was elected. He sure didn't have a strong leadership background. Maybe what we need is a strong leadership background without the political baggage.

I am personally not in favor of an exit, but I also support the power of the ballot, so I will hope for the best. We have our hands full on this side of the Atlantic with a (equally?) difficult choice with no clear alternative that is "better".

Nice new wire. NiFe70 and SS430.





The NiFe70 has a VERY smooth temp curve...ramps up nice and holds temp solidly. It is by far the best wire I have tried thus far. Easy to work with, easy to clean (can be pulsed to a glow), cheap, large TCR value (almost as good as Ni200).

The SS430 is hands down better than 316, as it has a much higher TCR value. Can be fire to a glow for cleaning. I will test it some more, but right now the NiFe70 seems to beat it in terms of vape quality.

No the TPD has gone into UK law now, it will take at least 2 years for the exit to happen and after that I can't see it being a priority for whoever is in government and the industry will have changed for good.

Do you run your Dicodes in Temp Mode?
I keep having a problem with it losing "calibration" if I let it sit overnight without being used. Have you ran across this?

Yes, only in temp mode. No problems.
There's something in the settings on mine to do automatic calibration...well something like that.

SS430, 38 watts @ 4 Ω in a Merlin

Nope, just boats. My buddy and I use to camp and fish on the St. Lawrence, back when the dollar was worth more in Canada. We just ran the boat over to buy supplies then back to our camp.
