Why would it make it attractive to sub ohm vapers? 0.5ohms at 3.7v is 27 watts. 0.8 ohms at 3.5v is still just over the 15v max output of the kick! If you were running 0.5 ohms on a fresh battery (4.2v) you're looking at 35 watts, dropping to 24 watts when the battery hits 3.5v. The kick would do nothing but regulate all the power out of sub ohm vaping.
It will however allow the building of higher ohm coils and give sub ohm (just) performance, which is probably a bit safer for the battery, and will make the battery last a little longer too

Some sub-ohm vapers will be satisfied with 15 watts, while also enjoying short-circuit protection and consistent output for the entire life of the battery. Certainly it's not for everyone, but you can use the Kick 2 in vaping situations where the original wouldn't work.
My first kick lasted about 3 months and died. Hope these are made better. I will wait 6 months to see how many die before getting another 50 accessory.. lol

It depends on what sort of finish the metal has. Right now I only have one FT clone -- the Chentinel. The Kick 2 works just fine with it.

You should be fine. When I used it with the Chentinel, I had an Efest 18490 flat-top and there was plenty of room.
