I wonder why they went after joyetech specifically and not other manufacturers using VW.
deep pockets

Evolv just screwed themselves into a no win situation. If they lose the case buh bye patent, if they win the case and drive affordable boards from the market they piss off a huge customer base.
Yeah deep pockets to pay lawyers with. Evolve went after the largest ecig company in the world.deep pockets
I read the pleading. If Evolv were suing because Wismec made an exact copy of their board and was reproducing it without license, I would support them. But they're not. Evolv seems to think they own the "variable wattage personal vaporizer" application in entirety, and nobody else is allowed to make a VW PV of any kind.
Patent trolls annoy me. I suspect I am not alone.
Yup. We shall see what happens. It isn't just VW, it also covers temp sensing and temp limiting circuitry.
They are talking about the mod itself when they say that......And, yes, it is the same in almost every way but the chip.....and THEY OWN every thing about both of those mods except the chip. They didn't "rip of" evolve on the mod design at all, as evolve had NOTHING to do with that part.I think it is obvious why evolv is challenging joytech.
Their own advertising admits they used the same design.
The RX200 with Wismec's proprietary chip features the same design, same shape, same size, and almost the same weight as its DNA 200 predecessor.
'Proprietary chip' and 'the same design' in the same sentence = double talk BS for we ripped off your design.
I hope evolv prevails.

No, it's that the chip/board used in the RX version - and those used in almost every other mod Joyetech makes - is using similar technology to what Evolv patented in the DNA-series boards. That's a loose interpretation, but sufficient to explain it.So what is their beef with the reauleax, is the DNA200 chip a reverse engineered one instead of evolv's?
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$So what Remedy is Evolv seeking?
