A friend showed me her XHALEO2 a couple of weeks ago and I was very surprised at how well it satisfied my cigarette cravings. I decided to give it a try. Within the first week, I knew that this type of device would be a better alternative to smoking.
That is when I started doing some research.Way too much information out there! Then I found this site, and I started getting a better idea as to which starter "kit" to buy without wasting money on bad devices and rip off distributors.
I am happy to say that I will be purchasing an Ego kit by the end of the week. I am looking for feedback on what other beginners have experienced with their kits, what "Juices" are best, (I smoke Marlboro reds and Winston red), and love the taste from the XHALE High strength), and any tips on getting started on a healthier way to enjoy my nicotine.
This site has been excellent in schooling me in E-cig 101. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting more information.

I am very happy with my KR808D-1 model which use cartomizers (cartridge and atomizer in one piece). I got mine from V2cig.com, but Vapor 4 life's Vapor king is the same model and probably the same quality. There are many other suppliers who also sell this unit. It is very simple and consistent. At first liked the automatic batteries, but quickly switched to prefering the manual batteries.

I second the opinion on not limiting yourself to tobacco flavors. I've hated all the ones I've tried and even hate the taste of the cigarette I smoked for 25 plus years. I like the WOW cartomizers from V4L in cinnamon roll, butterscotch and caramel.

Welcome to ECF. I think you have made a wise decision. I got my eGo a week ago planning on "cutting down" but have stopped analogs pretty much completely. I still don't want to say I've Quit. But, I have! I smoked Menthols and thought that I would want something that tasted like menthol cigarettes. But, turns out I like popular gum flavors like cinnamon, mint, and fruit. Go figure. Best of luck to you.

Vaping > Smoking. It's a habit AND a hobby. Treat it like a hobby, which is a valuable expenditure of money to expand your horizons, and you will be successful quitting analogs! IrishGirl has some great advice, too - don't limit yourself to tobacco flavors.. as the "flavor" of a cigarette comes more from the burning and less from the tobacco than you think. I would recommend trying a couple of fruit flavors, a couple of tobacco flavors, and a couple of out there flavors. I highly recommend trying RY4, because it's both awesome and interesting. As far as vendors go, I can't recommend backwoods brew and freedomsmokeusa enough! Everything they make is high quality - may not be to your tastes (I personally can't stand backwoods maxboro even though i smoked marlboro lights for 10 years), but it's all well made and good stuff.

I smoked Marlboro and tried about 10 different tobacco flavors. You won't find one just like an analog. The one that did the trick and I believe is the closes is KENT flavor from Rocky Mountain Vapor: E-Liquid 10ML 24MG.

I would strongly suggest you start out with 24mg nicotine strength based on what you smoked if you want to make the transition.

good luck

Welcome to the ECF. Sounds like your on the right track with the eGo kit. I second the notion about getting small sampler juices from different vendors until you find some flavors you like. Most sampler kits are very inexpensive and you have tons of choices. If you are looking to completely get rid of analogs (reg cigarettes), then I would also suggest going with a high nic content at first (24 or 36) to help alleviate your cravings. Worked for me. Good luck and once again welcome!! Happy Vaping! :)

Welcome! I totally agree with your choice. I just got my eGo last week and love it! It is definitely the best choice for someone who has better things to do with their time than switch and recharge batteries all day long.

As far as liquids are concerned, that's going to be a personal choice. You'll have to do some experimenting at first which is why so many people here will tell you to try the smaller samples bottles first. I started with the 18mg liquids and was fine with that. Everybody is different though.

Welcome, Cranston! I think you'll be very happy with your eGo. That's what I started with and I've never regretted it. The battery life is great. Not having to worry about frequent battery charging gave me more time to get used to vaping and experiment with cart mods and such. Tinker around and have fun.

If you're not already on a first name basis with your mail carrier, you will be soon.

I just wanted to update this thread. My eGo's are performing better than I anticipated and am finding that I like too many different juices. To date a couple of my favorites are RY4 and 555 for tobacco flavors. The Mutt's Fire 'n Ice is very tasty, (especially during the Holiday's). Grape Ape and Watermelon have both surprised me. With two 1000 mAh batteries and moderate vaping, I have been getting an entire week between charging. If I could vape at my desk during work, I bet I would have to charge two or three times a week. Not bad! I was having to recharge the XHale02 two to three times a day!
