So I've been vaping for a few months, going as it should I guess, till last night.

I had my setup (MV Lux) on my desk. When I got up this morning, the half-smoked prefilled cartridge had leaked so that there was a small pool of juice on the desk, sticking the battery down. I hadn't added any juice to it, so it was just the normal prefilled amount in there. There is juice on the outside of the battery and coating the bottom.

A) Why would this just happen?

B) what can I do to recover the battery? Just clean it? Or is it pretty much toast?

I've had a gunked up battery and slushed it around in a shallow cup of iso alcohol. Then got a wooden toothpick, pin or q-tip and cleaned the inside. Let it air dry really well. It shouldn't hurt it if it's a manual battery. If it's an auto battery you don't have a lot to lose. Also clean the connection on the charger really well.

in here somewhere USA
Is this it?

ELECTRIC CIGARETTE STARTER KITS: LUX E-Cigarette

If so, just clean it off, let it dry, charge it, and see if it still works. Sounds like juice just got on the pv right? That should be okay. Clean the atty connection too. Let us know if it still charges.

Doesn't sound like any got into the pv itself, right?

Thanks! I tried to look but as soon as I saw MV I thought Mad Vapes.

To the OP- get yourself some cartomizers. They don't leak.

I love the colors that pv comes in!

Thank you. I'll just clean it up and see what happens. I don't think anything got inside the battery itself, so here's hoping.
And swedishfish - I don't like the cartomizers I've tried so far - the tips are so chunky!

It's probably pretty safe to wipe off just about any ecig with a damp cloth (water or rubbing alcohol) being careful around any switches to not get moisture inside..also after using anything wet let it dry awhile in a warm room before using..also you could just wipe it off with a dry towel/paper towel/napkin but that might not get it all off. I rinse off my Smok Tech eGo style manual battery's right under a faucet with 0 issues and you might be able to do that with most manual battery's..don't rinse out auto battery's at all as it will kill them for sure (from experance lol)...
