I’m using a Janty Kissbox, but this should work with all cartridges, I’m a heavy vapour and top up my cartridges frequently. I find that after 4 days the top of the filler is going distinctly brown, it absorbs less top-up, and gives less vapour. I’m sure this happens to everyone.

I’ve tried making a hole through the ‘crust’ and making a slit in it (as tipped a few weeks ago), and got only a slight, short-lived improvement.

This works 100%: with tweezers, pull out the filler and replace the other way up. Works like a new cartridge for another 4 days. Then I sling it because I can’t be bothered any more for the sake of a few pence. That’s 8 days for peanuts and almost no messing about.

Hey, heads up..

SerbitonPete on another thread recommended "Teabag" paper as a replacement cart filler. I just wanted to say I tried this, and wow.. Verified and IMO it works better than the poly filler the carts come with (actually I used coffee filters, they work fine).

...Not sure if that's something you'd be interested in but props to SerbitonPete for this great idea.
