i made my first successful extracted coffee. it is awesome ! I am going to try making a larger batch next time. I only made 30 mls. Should I use a slow cooker to get a stronger concentrate ?
I tried a bunch of coffe juice samples and never liked a single one of them. I am so stoked that this worked out so well.

I do not see the need of a slow cooker. I let mine steep in hot water for a few hours (adding hot water periodicaly) and then let it sit in the window for a few days. Works fine. Almost everything I vape is made from my coffee extracts and then accented with different TFA flavors (1 -2% additional mix)... Coffee extract - if it gets to strong clogs attys and clearos faster - so watch out for that also...

Thanks for the tips ! I definitely keep the heat to minimum, to avoid that harsh, burnt flavor that seems to be a part of all the coffee capes I have tried.

Yep, I have gotten the burnt flavor also - and one more tip. Never and I mean Never try to take a shortcut using instant coffee. You will need a tongue scraper for a few weeks if you do (LOL)... Been there done that...

so what exactly is the process? do you take the beans and put them in a 30ml bottle and let that steep? how much coffee? do you steep in pg? what kind of container? sorry for all the questions but i've never extracted anything. also curious if a ultrasonic cleaner could be used for the extraction process. thanks

I extracted this from an old post john333...

Fill 1/2 of a 30 ml bottle of ground coffee. Then top it off with PG and microwave for 10 seconds. (no longer). The Pg will absorb the coffee. Then top off again with pg, then place bottle in a hot water bath for 20 minutes. Strain mixture with a coffee filter. I used a funnel, and cut the filter to fit.

I used 3% coffee, 1% Bavarian Cream and 1% Caramel and It was the best Coffee liquid I ever had.

I keep mine in the hot water bath longer and I let it sit in a window for at least overnight and sometimes for a couple of days.

I have heard of people using an ultrasonic cleaner with a warm bath to speed up and improve steeping, but have not tried it yet. It sounds like it should work...

I ground up the beans first. I just happen to prefer whole bean coffee fresh ground.
I filled a bottle up half way with coffee and then the rest of the way with PG. I nuked it for 10 seconds. Then nuked water in a med sized dish, almost to boiling. Then I sat the bottle inside the dish for about 1/2 hour.
Over the next few hours I kept heating water and changing the water out in the dish. I then let the mixture sit in the coffee overnight.
After mixing the final juice, I let it steep for about a week.

I read about this method here on ECF. It works so good. I finaly have a coffee vape that I actually enjoy.
