I doubt there's any more danger there than with any other flavors... but I'm no expert.

One thought... when you make a cup of coffee or tea, if you let it steep too long it will start to get bitter. The tobacco extraction techniques that I've seen let it steep for many days, and I wonder if that might be too much for tea. There's a thread on making coffee flavor (with shorter steeping) in this sub forum that may work well for tea too.

I learned this from a friend: Fill 1/2 of a 30 ml bottle of ground coffee. I used Cuban coffee because it's really strong.. Then top it off with PG and microwave for 10 seconds. (no longer). The Pg will absorb the coffee. Then top off again with pg, then place bottle in a hot water bath for 20 minutes. Strain mixture with a coffee filter. I used a funnel, and cut the filter to fit.

I used 3% coffee, 1% Bavarian Cream and 1% Caramel and It was the best Coffee liquid I ever had.

I found one method of extracting coffee flavor. Maybe this will work with tea as well. Ima go to google to look and see if anything harmful comes from smoking tea.(My logic being that people might've actually tried that apposed to extracting tea flavoring)

Lol, okay... bad idea to look that up. It seems that people tried smoking tea to get themselves high. The only health related issues that people address come from the tea leaves burning not from any chemicals in the tea that would cause health-related issues. Anyone else look into this before? Im going to continue before i try it myself.

I'm out looking for some celestial seasonings sugar cookie sleigh ride today. It's my favorite tea. I'll definitely have to give this a try as I've been wanting to get some flavor art cookie flavoring. If it works well it could save me a lot of $ on flavorings. I have boxes of gingerbread spice and sugar plum already which I'll definitely have to try this weekend. I've done the coffee extraction on that other thread. Don't know why it didn't dawn on me to try the holiday teas!??!

Great minds think alike... I used that coffee extraction method on some sugar cookie sleigh ride the other night. I took it out of the bag so I could stir it around a bit, then filtered it through a coffee filter when it was done. Unfortunately, I haven't had the spare time to mix up anything with it yet. It smells good though.

I have seen other threads ( not ecf ) that have done this with tea to make their own eliquid. I think they used 4 tea bags and water, then let it steep. Then added pg/vg, and nic. It seems to be working for them. It was suggested to steep the tea bags in pg to get more flavor, so could u put pg and tea bags in the microwave? I assume u could? I bought some constant comment tea to try, but have not had time yet. I really wish more vendors carried more tea flavors, seems there is every kind of coffee there is, but if u like tea, or chai, it's a much harder hunt.

That's why im asking. I want to see if steeping the tea in pg,vg, or pga will make some sort of flavoring or something that isn't good to vape.

The problem is that unless someone with a lab has analyzed the results there is no way to tell. Even then there are chemicals that can be eaten safely but will destroy your lungs.

So.... can anyone think of a chemical that would come out of tea from steeping? If so, then i definately dont wanna try it.
Tea leaves can concentrate an unusually high level of fluoride. Might be good for the teeth, then again, maybe not. Aluminum can also be found in tea leaves. both minerals range at 600mg - 1000mg per kilo in tea leaves.

Couldnt aluminum (as heavy as it is) be filtered out with a coffee filter? What if i used one of those brita filters for filtering my juices lol I wonder if that would impact the flavor.....
