You are likely either vaping too much back to back, or do not have enough liquid inside. I usually wrap my finger around the atty if I am vaping back to back to check how hot it is before I continue.

I haven't had much luck with cartos and suck with dripping until I got my Reo. If your dripping with attys, make sure you drip frequently enough. Typically if you don't have enough liquid it will heat up very quick since there isn't much else to heat. If your using cartridges with the atty then you likely need to give it more time to pull more liquid down between vapes.

1) Are you using a metal drip tip by chance? If not, the plastic one shouldn't get hot enough to burn you......
2) The atty/carto has to be wet (inside) to vaporize the juice.
3) Is the 1st puff good, the others bad? Wicking.

I suppose you could try dripping as a test..... vape until the atty needs juice. Remove the filler material from the cart. Drip 3 drops into the atty right on the bridge thing that sticks up in the middle. Put the cart on and vape... you'll get about 10 puffs +/-. Repeat with 3 drops when the flavor changes. Did it stay cooler?

Anyone ask how long the puffs are hes taking? Id say 5 secs is short, 8-10 is long. If I take 3 long drags from my ego mega LR cylinder atty (awesome analog feel btw, crazy throat hit almost hurts) the thing gets pretty hot. I can see 5 long consecutive puffs on a regular 510 doing that as well.

Also since hes new to this and the attys are new id say probably doesnt know what a bad atty hit tastes like. After i put 2 drips in give it a good blow to get that liquid into the coil. The bridge is strictly for wicking cartridges in a 510 atty, a dry coil will heat up like a mother
