Just a few days ago i was ranting *ahem!* i mean "talking" about how much i hate pro tanks, how much trouble they have given me, and that i would stick to top coil tanks, namely my iClear 30S.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...bottom-coil-tanks-happily-back-top-coils.html

Then even thoug i was happy with my iClear30S, i started thinking maybe its time for me to "expand my horizons", and try diferent things. And since ibe tried so many clearomizers, cartos, special systems (e.g. ego-c eRoll, etc), it seemed the next logical step, was to try the only thing i never really tried before, so two days later, i got this:

A Phoenix rebuildable dripping atomizer!
Ibe never liked the idea of having to put liquid every few puffs, but from reviews i saw this thing holds some liquid on its "well" so you dont have to drip as often.
I also read on several reviews that the premade coil that comes with it from the factory doesnt perform well, and i was also eager to try to actually build a coil myself, so i took out the factory one, and made my first coil ever!

32 gauge kanthal, 3mm silica wick, 7 turns. Came out at an acceptable 1.6 ohms. (i was aiming for arround 2). Made shure the kenthal wasnt too tight arround the wick, did my best to space the wire evenly between turns.
Tested it for shorts, did a dry burn to look for "hot spots", burned it with little ejuice and washed it (to remove the wire taste), and finally put about 12 drops of Liqua traditional tobbaco on it, slaped it on my eVic, set it for what i normally use (8.5 watts) and gave it a try.

Oh Man!, vapor wise it puts out just a little more that my iClear30S, but FLAVOR wise... Lets just say that i been using this juice for over 3 months now (among others of course), and i NEVER tasted it like i did with the phoenix. It feels completely pure, rich, "un-contaminated" with other flavors.
And another thing, after vaping it for a few minutes, i got a little light headed, and i could feel my pulse somehow accelerated. I dunno if these things, are more efficient at delivering nic or what, but somehow this thing managed to give me a nic buzz in just a few minutes of use.

I washed it off with warm water, dried it with some paper, and put some Liqua vanilla on it. This one i had only tried on a mini pro tank 2 (i dint want to get my iclear an eternal vanilla taste), and it tastes completely diferent that on the protank. I get the full vanilla flavor, and no burnt undertones.

I wont really stop using tanks completely, still like my iClear30S very much, and the convenience they provide is unmatched, but the phoenix is now my main in-house device.

Besides, doesnt it look nice on the coolfire? :)

Heres a side by side with my VTR.

I STRONGLY advice other fellow vapers to give these rebuildables a try. some (like this one) are very cheap, took me about 10 minutes to make the wick (and it was the first one i even made), and the flavor they provide is (to me at least) unmatched!

You love dripping? Ready for your mind to "asplode?"

Yep once I discovered dripping the REO was my next natural step. Dripping with an onboard tank that makes it as portable as any clearo. Well 1 REO turned into 2 REOs and now my REOs + RM2s are my all day everyday devices. Only reason I do not use them driving is extremely small hands.

Thanks for your input guys (and for reading). I dont know if its the dripping that i like so much about this thing. I have tried some dripping in the past with 510 atties (granted, never tried a true dripping attie like a 357), but i dont remember those 510 atties giving me the huge ammount of flavor this thing does.
I dont know if its because the coil is much larger that the pre made ones in clearos and other factory stuff, but i have never experienced the same flavor before.
Its like re-discovering all my liquids again! hehe
And to be honest, i got this one because on reviews i saw it holds some liquid, if i tought i would have to be dripping it every 2 or 3 puffs, i would have passed.

I allready have my eye on those mini-did rebuildables that have a tank, and use a steel mesh as wick, but for now i think ill keep using this one for a couple of months, I just spent money on the coolfire, a second iClear30S, replacement heads for it, the phoenix, and some juices, so my wallet needs a rest! hehe

Sweetab:
Maybe in the future ill give the aerotank a try, but for now im still too upset with protanks and kanger for the problems i had with my protanks. And to be honest, somehow i doubt that any bottom coil tank is capable of giving me the same flavor this thing does.

thanks guys

million dollar idea... a tank on top of a dripper with a bulb you could push to "drip" from the tank to the atomizer. Same thing as a carb primer on any small engine machine like a weedwacker. This way you could have your tank... and drip it too! GEWWW

Both the REO and the Kayfun = Amazing. Pick up a cheap rocket tank to give you a taste of what a Kayfun will do.

But until then I suggest you start looking into Micro coils and cotton. IMO they are easier to build and service. A coil can last weeks/months and you easily re wick cotton whenever you want. If you think your setup tastes good now, just wait till you go micro.

Warning once you go micro coil you never go back.

Glad you are enjoying the new dripper. Happy vaping!
