Just a few days ago i was ranting *ahem!* i mean "talking" about how much i hate pro tanks, how much trouble they have given me, and that i would stick to top coil tanks, namely my iClear 30S.

Then even thoug i was happy with my iClear30S, i started thinking maybe its time for me to "expand my horizons", and try diferent things. And since ibe tried so many clearomizers, cartos, special systems (e.g. ego-c eRoll, etc), it seemed the next logical step, was to try the only thing i never really tried before, so two days later, i got this:

A Phoenix rebuildable dripping atomizer!
Ibe never liked the idea of having to put liquid every few puffs, but from reviews i saw this thing holds some liquid on its "well" so you dont have to drip as often.
I also read on several reviews that the premade coil that comes with it from the factory doesnt perform well, and i was also eager to try to actually build a coil myself, so i took out the factory one, and made my first coil ever!

32 gauge kanthal, 3mm silica wick, 7 turns. Came out at an acceptable 1.6 ohms. (i was aiming for arround 2). Made shure the kenthal wasnt too tight arround the wick, did my best to space the wire evenly between turns.
Tested it for shorts, did a dry burn to look for "hot spots", burned it with little ejuice and washed it (to remove the wire taste), and finally put about 12 drops of Liqua traditional tobbaco on it, slaped it on my eVic, set it for what i normally use (8.5 watts) and gave it a try.
Oh Man!, vapor wise it puts out just a little more that my iClear30S, but FLAVOR wise... Lets just say that i been using this juice for over 3 months now (among others of course), and i NEVER tasted it like i did with the phoenix. It feels completely pure, rich, "un-contaminated" with other flavors.
And another thing, after vaping it for a few minutes, i got a little light headed, and i could feel my pulse somehow accelerated. I dunno if these things, are more efficient at delivering nic or what, but somehow this thing managed to give me a nic buzz in just a few minutes of use.
I washed it off with warm water, dried it with some paper, and put some Liqua vanilla on it. This one i had only tried on a mini pro tank 2 (i dint want to get my iclear an eternal vanilla taste), and it tastes completely diferent that on the protank. I get the full vanilla flavor, and no burnt undertones.
I wont really stop using tanks completely, still like my iClear30S very much, and the convenience they provide is unmatched, but the phoenix is now my main in-house device.
Besides, doesnt it look nice on the coolfire?

Heres a side by side with my VTR.

I STRONGLY advice other fellow vapers to give these rebuildables a try. some (like this one) are very cheap, took me about 10 minutes to make the wick (and it was the first one i even made), and the flavor they provide is (to me at least) unmatched!
