Fake SONY US18650VTC3?

Ok... I am Rob i am new here and the other day on a whim i purchased a sony us18650vtc3 [FONT=Trebuchet, Trebuchet MS]battery from a seller on ebay named r-lsales. He says in the listing it is a real sony us18650vtc 30 amp battery made in japan. I am using a Sentinel m16 clone with a rsst at .6 ohms and do not know if this is a trusted seller or not. I have heard nothing but great things about these sony batterys being used in mech mods at sub ohms and when i saw one i jumped on it without thinking first . Any help or past purchases from this seller would be great. I am looking out for my self i do not want to sub ohm a fake wanna be sony battery and end up loosing a hand or face.[/FONT][FONT=Trebuchet, Trebuchet MS] Thanks everyone!, Rob [/FONT]

Rob, buying batteries on eBay is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you gonna get. If you don't know if this guy is legitimate I sure don't. If you're doing sub ohm don't screw around with your batteries. Only buy from reputable places, preferably registered ECF vendors who know what they are doing and we keep track of with feedback and reviews. Take a look at RTD Vapor and get the real thing.

I'm a firm believer in the old saying "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" and won't even look at E-bay for batteries.

They sell A LOT of batteries and they have received A LOT of positive feed back.

Their prices are not too good to be true BUT they do offer free shipping.

I have bought batteries from them in the past and nothing about the batteries I have received has lead me to believe they are fakes. In fact I have a pair of Panasonic NCR18650PF (high drain 10A) in the mail that should be here Mon - they ship very fast.

The pair of Panies cost me $20.45, RTD sells them for $10.99 a piece - nothing too good to be true about the deal. r-lsales can offer free shipping bc they turn a higher volume of sales than RTD and batteries are their only business.

Orbtronic sells batteries on eBay too. Are all their batteries from their eBay store fakes?

Are there fake batteries on eBay? I am sure there are. But they are probably not going to come from someone who has been in business as long as they have and accumulated as much positive feedback.

If you don't want to buy batteries off eBay bc you are too lazy to do your own research ahead of time is your business. But buying something first and then, fearing the sky is falling, submitting a thread with a title that could be misconstrued as fact is just plan fear mongering. And, then you are going to get replies that are people just reiterating what someone else said without looking into it thoroughly themselves - ie. rumors. There's enough of that on network news...

Look before you leap - it's as simple as that.

I want to buy 2 AW 18650 IMR from r-lsales. So I shouldnt have to worry about them being fake?
