I think the majority of your problem is the ecig you are using. Have you tried LR510 Atty's and direct dripping?
I started w/ a 510 2 years ago, and moved away from carts to DD'ing pretty quickly (Max Flavor)..
I recently bought a TW tank, and it SUCKED! Burnt taste, and even if it did wick good, reduced flavor. No wonder you can't find a flave you like! I went to the new Ego-C system, and the tank wicks much better on the new "C" Atty. BUT, I have some LR510 Atty's and DD for home use, the tank which for me get's 85% of the flavor through, I use when I'm mobile.

Ok im still somewhat illiterate to tech talk, so who makes these? and if I'm dd'ing i have to drip it everytime i hit it right? is flooding the atomizer a concern then? is this where you wad the cotton?

I went through that a few months back as well. The flavors I had were not good and I was not satisfied. I agree with everyone saying try menthol flavors, I like them way better than any other ones I've tried. Check out Nhaler; Drew makes a bunch of different menthol flavors and he also has a bunch of tobacco flavors too. His flavors mimic certain brands and he also has a line of "drewbaccos" (which I thought was pretty funny). The only other flavors I tried were from nitelitevapor but their no match menthol wasn't super. Try the Drewport or High Voltage Menthol Madness. Also, what nic level are you using? I realized I needed a higher nic count than I had at first to take care of the first week jitters. Analog free almost 2 months now---its a trial and error with flavors. From what I've seen most places have a sampler pack so you can try a bunch of different flavors for a reasonable price.

Def dont drip and drive. Ha. I would also get a pack of cartomizers. It is a cartridge and atomizer in one. A lot of people use them. Their easy to use, especially when your out. They make big ones that hold quite alot of juice. I use the Ressurectors. They hold 2ml of juice so they last pretty much all day. Huge amounts of vapor and great flavor

Menthol juice has helped me twice - when giving up cigarettes originally (2 years ago), and when I relapsed from e-cigs (last month). I only ever smoked a few Menthol cigarettes, but it has a flavour you can taste, and it also has a cooling sensation - If you think you will like the flavour I would say it is a good candidate for helping stopping smoking. It is interesting that I have come full circle back to menthol juice after 2 years, I think the bland taste of many other juices made me go back to cigarettes, so I now have a good range of different flavours (only 5ml each, no need to get large volumes), and this variety helps keep my interest. Menthol is always my fallback (current favourite is LibertyFlights Menthol Blend).

@alanselo. I use totally wicked tornado tank attys with 650 batteries. The attys are low resistance. Im not very gear savy=( But yes i just recieved an atty from them and i CANNOT get that nasty factory taste out. I run water thru it, sprayed the interior with air duster and let in set in rice to try and pull out moisture and that factory taste, but alas, nothing. I like the tank system tho, thats why i use it. I dont wanna drip or wadd or whatever. Im on the go alot and that wouldnt work. I smoke(d) marlboro reds about a pack a day so tryin to replace the taste of that. But in my opinion, none of the marlboro flavors come close.

Same here, marlboro red, pack a day, 40+ years. "Marlboro Man", yea right, anyway to date I have a battery mod, variable volt. Love it, just dial it in, no matter what carto choice. About 40 bucks, a garage door opener look a like. Syringe tank and cheap carto tank from madvapes. Cheap, effective, maintenace free, and portable. It also solved my dry burns and burnt taste and improved the flavor.

You might just have to trash that one you can't remove the flavor from, it happens.

Good luck with it...

so then are cartomizers a one time use thing then?

They can be refilled multiple times. They are considered disposable though but some do clean them and use them as long as they can. You can get a 5 pack for under $10. Some people swear by cartomizers and others can't stand them. It is all a personal preference. They are definitely great for on the go.

I direct drip and since I got low resistance atomizers now it has made a world of difference and I have finally been able to not smoke any analogs.

Backwoods has a couple of not so sweet tobaccos and right now they are my favorite supplier. I haven't tried all of them that are out there yet, maybe 5 different suppliers and so far ivape and backwoods has been my favorite.

Direct dripping isn't something you need to do every time you take a hit off of your PV. However, I still wouldn't recommend dripping and driving long distances. lol To drip you just drip 2 - 3 drops on the atomizer. There's a metal bridge inside the atomizer so you want to aim for that. Then you just vape until it either stops producing vapor or until it tastes like it went dry. It will last you about as long as an analog would. I love dripping, but use cartomizers in the car because I found this to be the most effective flavor-wise, for me anyways. As has already been said, some people love cartomizers and some hate them....some love the tank systems and others not so much. It really is a matter of preference, but the flavors definitely come through stronger when dripping. If you don't like the flavor of your liquid, this is likely not going to help though :(

I smoked Marlboro reds for 21 years and haven't really found a flavor that duplicates it and I've been vaping for a little over a year now. I have found tobacco flavors that I like though. Totally Wicked makes a flavor called Hylton (its under black label flavors, I believe) which is a dry tobacco with a nutty sort of flavor to it and its pretty good. Its not sweet at all. I vaped that exclusively for a long time before switching to other flavors. Revolver makes a Flue Cured Tobacco that I am currently enjoying a great deal. They also make a Dark Tobacco that I like. Occasionally I will be in the mood for something subtly sweet, not sickenly sweet and I mix Revolver's melon and watermelon flavors. That's another one of my favorite flavors. Of course I'm not strongly opposed to sweet flavors, I just don't want them to be so sweet that my teeth hurt lol
