I noticed that about my two ProTanks - one has it, one does not.
But guess what - NEITHER ONE is from fasttech...
I think that's a design change, maybe something they did in response to the bottoms breaking? I don't know...

The one without was from SunVapers
The one with was from WordUpECigs (had to order stuff - they had old style 1.8 ohm EVOD coils!! Gone now, LOL)

I take it back - am liking the SVD. Did notice one thing about the Kanger Protank - the one I got from FT has a raised bridge/platform in the tank. Lets see if I can explain - looking at the tank attached to my SVD (from FT) or Vamo V2 (also from FT) right above the lower SS casing where the glass tank starts - I see the bridge in the tank - also can see it when I fill em. The one I got locally doesnt have this. Doesnt mean the one from FT is fake - could be an older version or new version.....or maybe the one I got locally is fake - lmao Any ideas?

edit = better description - it is a plate that is attached to the air flow tube.....at the bottom

Yes, that's the new design with o-rings instead of just glue which allows mechanical connection of the metal top and bottom to the glass tank (the center tube now takes the stress of holding it together so that bridge at the bottom is the mechanical connection between the center tube and the bottom). It's genuine.

So in essence FT sold me a newer version for 40% less than a local vendor - time to order a few more....BTW tired the EVOD replacement coils on my Protank - flawless -

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1387600

5 for $4 buks - wow - aint it like 2 bucks a piece locally?

I'd slow your roll on those. What put me off was the photo of the wick & coil. Looks like an abomination lol. If they get good reviews from someone who actually tried them and knows what a good one should do, great. But if not, they look like gurgle town lol.

Oops, I need to slow my roll; I see you did try them. Sorry.

Hey guys....please try to keep your messages limited to Fast Tech item experience and reviews only.

In other words, "I received item XXX and am not happy with it because xxxx," or, "I just got my XXXX and love it because.....etc."

This Thread will likely be closed if we don't as there are many other Fast Tech Threads out there.

Thanks!

Ref Minor:

Just FYI. I set this Thread up with the assistance and direction from Moderator "Caridwen" since there were other Fast Tech Threads. Caridwen asked me to set it up as a "Fast Tech Item Review Only." I did exactly as requested to start this Thread!

Move on if you don't like it or become a Moderator yourself so you can do/say whatever you want! The tone of your response is sad for a fellow ECF'r. After all, isn't this site for everyone to get to know one another, help each other out and develop new friends?

Back on track.....any other Fast Tech item experiences, recommendations, etc.?

Given the tone and wording of your response to Ref, I think "developing new friends" doesn't fall into this thread's remit, so I'll just move on to less controlled skies...Ciao.

PS: now that this thread is in the Fast Tech subforum and not out there in General Discussion land, I don't think it will be closed for a couple of non-review comments...

I think it would be helpful if we put the link in the review. I know it is for me.

Now: LIQUA (not in box) is still authentic. I have confirmed this with the "official" LIQUA website. E-Liquid | Ritchy | EN
There are a couple of websites that explain what the knockoff LIQUA looks like compared to the authentic. I think FT removes the boxes in order to reduce shipping costs. LIQUA Tiramisu is AWESOME! https://www.fasttech.com/products/1412/10004083/1297403
I have enjoyed all of the LIQUA I have ordered. Bear in mind that it is more subtle than much of the US based liquids. It does get stronger the older it gets.

I have ordered MANY MANY things from FT. This is my current fave: https://www.fasttech.com/product/1400400
Elegant, vapes like a champ. Passthrough, VV, VW and sturdy. The EVODS look beautiful on mine.

Grabbed this.. $19.44 KTS+ Electronic Cigarette Battery Compartment - gold-plated brass mod at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping .. a couple weeks back and like it a lot for under 20 bucks. The finish is holding up well which was a concern as some reviewers had commented on it not holding up. I'm glad I didn't try clear coating it when it first arrived.

I use it in all battery configurations...18350, 18490 and 18650, both with and without the "kick". I purchased the extension tube for 8 dollars elsewhere. In hindsight, for another 11 bucks I could have had another complete KTS+, keeping one unit for 18350 and 18490 mode and used the extension from it to kick the 18650 on the other KTS+.

So far the unit still looks and performs wonderfully, the fire button is flawless. I did however take a bit of sandpaper to the firing pin and post as well as the connector pin(top and bottom) and the inside of the tube where the kick ground wire touches. This all may not have been necessary but it's working great nonetheless.

Highly recommend the KTS+ from FT.:vapor::vapor:

Your KTS+ fire button might not hold up under load. I purchased a chrome KTS+ from them in July, the fire button spring has just gone out on me.

I have to ask because this stupid thing is driving me nuts...
Has anyone gotten this thing to work as-is when they received it?
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10004493/1343808-x6-4-in-1-rechargeable-1300mah-variable-voltage
I'm talking about the X8 carto-tank...
So far, I've managed to make mine leak a lot, gurgle a lot and produce vapor little.
I threatened to throw it in the trash about 10 times, but it's the only carto-tank I've ever had and it's a curiosity. Lots of people live by them and I want to be able to say I gave this a good shot.
Any advice, or should it be in the garbage already?

that cartomizer is horrible. very little vapor, tight draw and other bad things. get a proper cartomizer, boge or smoktech. the tank is nice but will fit 35mm cartomizers only. smoktech ones are usually 45mm. boges should do fine on that. all FT cartomizers i've tried so far are very problematic

im waiting for these in the mail. they should work fine in tanks. they have to be punched though

The DCT pyrex glass tank is a fantabulous cartotank. I just boiled the supplied carto and let it air dry. It does gurgle/flood a bit after a refill of high PF juice but once you get it going it clears out fairly quick and juice seems to go forever. All Coils ohm out at 1.5 on the dot and require very little voltage(3.2-3.7) in all my juices used so far. All my drip tips work in it and from what Geek @ FT said these are Smok tanks unbranded. I'm very impressed with the looks and performance of these with the nice touch of Pyrex which is not reflected in the price!

I love my X8 now. My first experience was similar to yours. The first tank was horrible with your same experiences. I order some standard boges.. While waiting I went to my workbench took a nail to the fasttech carto... Man these little cartos are tough. Looked around... oooo hacksaw! Took a hacksaw to the opening and cut a slit. The thing wicks like a dream.. no leaking... but flavor was muted and just a little off. Got my boges in.. dual holes... the carto stick out a little at the top but it is a wonderful vape.. easy to fill.

The needle bottles on the fasttech website have a needle that is the almost the same diameter as the X8's fill hole. It doesn;t do a nice job of filling them. A smaller needle bottle does the trick.

I asked in the other thread.. and saw some got it in this thread too, but looking for more opinions on this..

$6.76 E-Cigarette Fiberglass Heating Wick (10M) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping Is it the same wicking in the X6?

A review for the X6. I hated these things when I first got them. Flavor was just off and dry hits constantly. I did a rebuild on the wicks with 3mm and 32 kanthal a1 awg and one preforms very nicely. The other leaked. So I took another piece of wick and laid it over the coiled wick and everything works great. I am loving these more than the X8.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1363000 Got this for three bucks. Surprising a decent clearo type. Kids love the lightup at night out by the pool. I got the blue led... well with darker liquids it turns green...:) It is a fun conversation piece and does a decent job with the liquids.

I just got two X9 ProTanks from FT last night. HATE THEM! They both leak when I hit on them. Replaced the coils with "replacement heads" from FT and no help. Am I doing something wrong with these? Is there some way to fix them???

Can you maybe pull the head out and attach a pic of the head, especially where the wick comes out? You can usually tell if you need to add a flavor wick.

Check to see if there are any "leaks" in the casing. I believe someone else had that issue. You can blow in them while closing off the opposite end. If you feel air coming from a spot, you can tape or use fingernail polish or something else to close off the "hole".
