Yes it is only $21.54 but there is a reason for that: I received two of them.

  1. The Positive Terminals are loose (freely swinging back and force). Easy fix – I just tighten them down.
  2. Very dirty in machine oil. Require cleaning.
  3. Center Pin screw on the bottom of the 510 threaded connector is OFF Center in both of them. Thus creates a Short Circuit and destroys your device.

Could somebody recommend the correct size of a Plastic Dispensing Needle to fill the kayfun 3.1 from the side? I found bunch of them here: Tapered Tip Dispensing Needles but I don’t know what size to get: 14ga, 16ga, 18ga or 20ga
I would really appreciate the answer.
Thanks
Mike.

I fill the kayfun from the top and it's a MUCH better way to do it in my opinion. No needle required. Hold kayfun right side up, remove top cap, place and hold one finger over air hole(middle hole), fill with juice, start threading top cap just a little, flip kayfun upside down, and tighten top cap all the way, and then release finger from air hole. It is super simple once you figure it out. Skip that fill valve crap altogether. It takes me 30 seconds to refill when juice level gets low.

Also, just a fyi but if you find yourself with any gurgles.... blow a little through the air hole.... and then leave your device with kayfun sitting upside down for a few minutes. Take a few puffs and you will have zero issues. Nice smooth and flawless hit. this is assuming your build/wick is good.

Yes, OK, Whatever… I have no clue what you just said.

Several long threads where many are passionately worried about sub-ohm vapers causing their batt to explode.
Not so many threads about defective hardware which can put a real strain on the batt.

Thanks for the hard short heads up. Maybe it will help someone.

If you are interested? I must say: I own four of them.
1.HCigar. The best quality 1:1 clone. Absolute beauty. I'm not sure if the original is any better.
2.Tobeco. Good 1:1 clone
3.EHPro. Excellent quality but not 1:1 clone. It is actually better. It has Bottom Fill Screw and 510 Drip tip. No “Svoe Meso” Logo thought.
4.FastTech. Absolute “Crap” Bunch of problems, no box no spares parts and/or consumables.
But it works…
I still have not received my Ithaka and Taifun GT from FastTech, but I’m already anticipating something bad.

My Tobeco "1:1 clone" came from FastTech...

Either use an 14 and press firmly or a 16 and it will slide through. Anything past 16 is to small to conveniently use for filling any tanks
Using an 18g for 6 months with no problems...

Thanks. I've run into topper hard shorts. Much sub-ohm safety buzz. Little hard short safety buzz.

Yes, OK, Whatever… I have no clue what you just said.

I understood emus. I hang out here too much ... gotta get a life

Thanks for the heads up for people. I've got the $13 Rocket and it was also a bit off center when I got it. I tightened it, pushed, pulled and tapped it and couldn't make it short so I'm using it. Keeping an eye on it though.

looks like the bottom insulator is pushed in too far... try to bring it back down the the very bottom of the hole ( where the screw head resides) and re-insert the screw keeping the insulator as close to the hole as possible... just a thought... might even want to check to see if the insulator is concentric too

Oh bugger...I have 3 on the way . No offence but I hope you have just been unlucky :p.

None taken :) I opened up a trouble ticket with FT and here is what they have to say: "I am sorry to hear about this issue.

Would you like to have the replacement? We may need your help to return the defective one so that we can check on it to improve the problems. We have the return address in Miami.

Please get back to us, then we will arrange, thank you."

I guess, I still have a chance here...

P. S. Who are we to complain? We are buying Advanced Rebuildable Atomizers KayFun3.1 at the price that average “Joe” buys Kanger Protank for at the store.

You get what you pay for is always in effect from FT.

They seem to be very hit and miss. Both my items were flawless and some experts even have trouble telling it apart from the real deal. My buddy got the same thing and his both required work to get them functioning. I guess it will always be a roll of the dice if you get a good clone or a crappy one from FT.

My 3.1 ES from FT are the best of all that I have. So it is a bit hit or miss. I will say that my most recent 3.1 from FT came with no metal enter piece, just the plastic one and no spare stuff. Really ticked me off.

My rating....FT 3.1 Best quality. , Tobecco, 2nd, not the best air draw. , 3rd, Hcigar machined the worst, but usable.... ( Even the rocket is a great vape and very usable)

Guess the chineese QC is just...well, chineese quality. But is been getting better and better.

Forrest Gumps mom said it best...... (box of chocolates..etc)

My cheapo chromed brass Kayfun 3.1 from FT is pretty much perfect. I ordered it because I could get it faster than the other versions, but I have a KFL/Russian 91% from FT on the way. In 18 orders I haven't gotten anything that is really bad (some items that worked fine but that I didn't like though) so I'm fairly confident that the KFL will be great.
