I placed an order last night with no issues, but...

Notice--PayPal payment method will be suspended for most e-cigarettes items: FastTech Forums

Notice--PayPal payment method will be suspended for most e-cigarettes items

Dear valued customers,

We're very sorry to inform you that PayPal officially revised the Acceptable Use Policy regarding e-cigarette related products, transactions involving most of the e-cigarette products will be prohibited from now. Other payment methods such as cryptocurrencies and gift cards are not affected. Non-e-cigarette products on our website are also not affected.

Paypal claims that e-cigarettes belong to activities requiring approval. But the fact is there is no way we can get the pre-approval after confirming with Paypal.

We are currently connecting with new credit card payment processors and will try to get them online asap.

At the same time, we will keep communicating with PayPal at all times. Once there are any further updates of this policy, we will make an announcement.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this change may cause, and thank you all for your understanding and continued support.

Please do not hesitate to contact our customer service if you have any questions, as we will be very happy to assist you with anything you need.

Best regards,

fasttech Team

Yes, they are the same. Bitcoin is just one type of cryptocurrency.

For fasttech, you can also just buy a gift certificate first then make your purchase with the gift certificate. But unfortunately you have to buy in specific denominations. I remember in the past you used to be able to buy gift certs in specific amounts that you specify, like $21.18. That was better.

wait, will this affect other online stores too with e-cigarette products?

If so, then as a younger person (25 so no not a minor) with no credit card, I can only shop online with paypal or e-mail money transfer. I also do not like pre-paid cards because of limitations, fees, and the fact of not having protection that way.

I see paypal has jumped on the anti-vape train too, sad to see. I have bought guns with paypal, but "oh, better not use us to buy vapes".

We were, i think it was the Aspire-era, i remember doing such things for Nautiluscoils.

I just tried to put a noname-gt4-clone in my cart and i still had the paypal-option at the checkout.

Well that cart I tried to checkout earlier, the one without the Caliburn, I was previously allowed to checkout with paypal. But now I'm not able to do so.

Looks like FT is going through it's catalog and tagging vape gear as "non-paypal". Just hours ago it was allowed to go through as Paypal, now it's not.

Now I see a lot of these notices on product pages...

Most likely, eventually, it seems.

You'll have to pay for a gift certificate with paypal then buy your e-cigarette products.

Gee...looks like the thread I started when Heaven Gifts told me that PP could no longer be accepted for HG purchases, and likely would be the same for other Chinese vendors, too....was right afterall. I know some thought PP did that to HG only, because of some problem that they must have had with PP. Well....;)

Elon Musk covering his bum, knowing that e-cig law is volatile right now. PP during covid has become a complete mess btw. If you have any issue with an order, good luck. There is virtually no live customer support right now, from what I've experienced. Same with ebay. Is there even a paypal ticket system? Last time I was having an issue I was unable to find anything.

I still don't 100% believe that Paypal has restricted or forbidden vape transactions in China just yet. They certainly are dragging their feet on suspending all the others if they have.

And then...

Fasttech
Hiliq

Now there is undeniable proof, so I believe 100%.

Am I demon or just a skeptical human?

Depends on whom you ask.

so when is this going into effect? and what's the big deal? can we buy with a credit card? I always use paypal on fasttech but I'll use a credit card now i guess?

Check Out the Big Red Box in Post #26.

When I did a Test Purchase of a Mech Squonker and Gear RTA today. The ONLY Payment Option was with Crypto-Currency.

Or to use a FT Gift Certificate.

It already got into effect, creditcard is ok since it only affects paypal, no big deal for those who have one.

Orders to Germany might be Different.

But as of Right Now, e-Cigarette orders to the USA don't seem to have a CC Option.

NO PAYPAL NO CREDIT for E-CIG PURCHASES, GOT IT!

Thanks guys. Dang I just used paypal yesterday evening. They better set up the choose your own amount e-giftcard or set up the credit card option if they don't want a sharp decrease in e-cigarette related sales. I had 2 tanks and a 50 pack of coils in my cart this morning. I'll go elsewhere i guess.
