Batteries, IMR, Illum, RTD, liion are all reputable vendors. All are reputable for chargers as well, but price comparison and sales should always figure into your choice. On batteries their prices are usually about the same.
Avoid eBay. Way too many overpriced and underperforming rewraps and counterfeits.

NO! It Isn't.
Not to say that there aren't some Honest and Trustworthy battery sellers on e-Bay. There are. But they are FAR Outweighed by people Knowingly (or Unknowingly) selling Rewrapped Substandard Cells.
For some things, Cheaper Isn't Better. Especially 2 or 3 Bucks cheaper. And in our case, can be Hazardous.
Go with a Vendor like who Eskie mentioned.

It's not wise to skimp on batteries. So the price is cheap no matter how much it is to get the best. Same can be said for chargers... price is not as important as buying one right once and you'll not have to buy again.
“Seems” is a good word. The problem with eBay is it’s an unregulated source of fakes. Companies that couldn’t get their products into the West normally due to counter fitting can always use eBay. As a result it is positively stuffed with counterfeit merchandise, and when it comes to lithium, counterfeit is dangerous.
Dunno which is worse…a bad batt or a crap knock-off charger that makes 'em that. A good supplier source is worth its weight.

Batteries are the heart and soul of any setup. Buy the right ones, and buy them from the right places.
I agree. I have been buying from ebay (not batteries or chargers) for at least 15 years. Have always received exactly what I ordered. If it isn't exactly right I get my money back. Check feedback and only deal with reputable sellers and some good buys can be found.
I bought 4 kbox mini kits from a seller on ebay a couple of years ago for almost half of what I was seeing them going for from online stores. All 4 are genuine and are still going strong for hubby. And yes, I also snagged a Provari or 2 for a very good price too.
My advice will always be.....Get your batteries and chargers from a reputable online store. I buy my batteries from RTD and trust them to only sell genuine products.
eBay can be a Great Place to Buy Many Things.
You just have to Know what you are Buying. And you have to be a little Smart about who you are buying it from.
