Favorite old or new rta ?

I have been using CVS natural cotton balls for 2 years. I have tried other cotton but always come back to it. I am still on my first bag and I have 20+ rbas.
Favorite? Easily the old school "orchid v2". The ability to "frankenfun" to suit your needs/tastes, is what I love best.
Compatible with all kayfun threaded tank sections and top caps, also can use silverplay chamber for other options(top of silverplay chamber is kayfun threaded so you can use all "chimney extensions" for different height/juice capacity).
After modding the base to my liking(drilled out airflow and juice channels), it has ben my absolute favorite. Even after 7 different tanks that I bought after the orchid, I still end up going back to my orchid and PIFed most of the others.
Yellow kayfun bellcap and kayfun 4 chamber/chimney on orchid base. Allows access to the build deck without draining juice, and allows for filling without the need for a Screwdriver.
Stock orchid parts, except for the topcap is swapped out for a kayfun 4 topcap and screw(for "top fill" option) with the screw being covered with shrink tubing to be used as a standalone driptip.
And my favorite combination
Modded an orchid chimney to seal correct, but you can swap it for a silverplay chamber for no modding required. Orchid base with a kayfun slamcap(steam tuners "clone")
With the slamcap, the coil chamber is reduced and more "closer to" the mouth. The vape I get from it is very very very very close to a rda(just need to grind bigger juice/wick slots for 50w+ builds, just too lazy and it's not THAT important since I vape around 15-35w)
As for cotton, I just use the "crap"(as others would sudjest) cotton balls I get from any local grocery store. I browse the selection and look at the balls and grab the brand with the least "swarf"(little "micro" balls within the strands of cotton)
Edit to add for reference, previous tanks owned "after" the orchid: ego one, silverplay, 2x kayfun monsters (tried to modify to liking, both failed my standards...), subtank mini, ijust2 tank with rda coil, tube rta, and a goblin nano.

For Me, as a 15 ~ 20W Flavor Chaser, the Wine RTA with one side hole blocked has Better Flavor and Doesn't go thru e-Liquid as fast as a Serpent Mini. And it is My Favorite RTA.
Though I Don't have a Full Sized Serpent to compare it too.
But I will say that my FT Corolla Clones are a Very Close 2nd. It just the Quality of the FT Clones is Not So Hot. So I can't really Recommend them.
Probably should have gotten the SXK Version instead. But they didn't come with a Glass Tank. Which was kinda Baffling.
Kayfun mini v3 clone followed by kayfun v5 clone. No leaks, great mtl tanks for flavor.
Bellus, Tribe rta (aromamizer v1 "clone"), waiting for the Aromamizer Supreme and Limitless rdta. I use Muji Japanese cotton in all my atties.

Sxk ones are totally worth it. It's been one of my daily drivers since i got it. I just wish I would've gotten two. Lol.
I've gotten some Other SXK Atomizers in the Past. And the Quality/Machining was Very Good.
Like I said before, the FT Corolla Clones are Great Flavor RTA's. Its just that the 510 Threads are So Shallow, it feels like the Atomizer is attached by about 1 Thread. And I'm not sure it could survive a Drop if it hit atomizer first.
I really like my Kayfun Lite Plus tanks for lower watt vaping (12-17w depending on build) and still love my Subtank Minis and Crowns (with RBAs) and Aromamizer (original 6ml).
