I have been moving towards more single flavors and making it even more simple by adding just a few drops,3-6, of flavor to a tank filled with my mixed unflavored base. A little flavor can go a long way. Start low with flavor and add more as desired.

Current favorites are TFA Wintergreen, TFA Cherry Extract, FA Oba Oba, OSDIY Blue Raspberry Slush, CAP Sweet Tangerine, CAP Blueberry Cinnamon Crumble.
I have a lot of tanks so most have a dedicated flavor.

But if I want to change flavor in the same tank I just vape a bit of unflavored through and then start again.
Or add a few drops of TFA Vanilla Swirl or a cream to a current tank just to change the flavor up a bit.

I've always wondered about that. I see a lot of people mixing right in there tank and I've tried that once or twice in a kayfun style tank and after shaking like crazy it never really mixed completely and I found the flavor distribution through the tank spotty at best. I would think it would be much harder to mix in a tank then the conventional way.

I'd like to here more about your experience.

Mixing flavors in a tank.

I have found that "mixing" in the tank works quite well for me.
I put a bit of my base in, add a few drops of flavor, then add more base. I then turn the tank upside down, right side up, and round and round a few times and everything seems to mix well. If I put the flavor in first or last it does not seem to mix as well.
My base is 50/50 pg/vg so it is not very thick. More vg in the base would be harder I think.
Also my tanks, GS-Air and Bellus, do not ever leak no matter which direction they are turned or stored.
I generally mix about 2 to 2 1/2 mls total in the tank which lasts most of the day.

Of course there is nothing close to precise measurements in this method although I suppose things could be measured out.
I started using this as a flavor preview method with just 1 ml or so and a drop or 2 of flavor to see how. I got tired of rewicking just to try a new flavor.
But I have found that I am liking lighter flavors and a simpler mixing method.

I am a baccy mix user but I like super simple baccy blends I only have 1 All Day Vape that uses 2 flavorings. I use wee tiny amounts also and enjoy an unflavored nic base too. Nude Nicotine's Honey Tobacco (made with a tobacco absolute) with a wee bit of FlavourArt's Cuban Supreme, And 2 Naturally Extracted Tobacco's - I forgot 1 is a blend of 3 tobaccos, Burley,Turkish and Virginia, the other is their mix called the Minister. None of them do I go over 1.5% total. :p And yes my coils seem to last forever lol.

My best friend's wife loves Flavor West Vanilla Cupcake. I mix it at standalone @ 15%. I don't do desserts personally. All my mixes are hangsen tobaccos for the most part. The majority are excellent standalone. My vape life is stoopid simple compared to many DIY folks.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
If your not very fussy adding drops into unflavored is fine , heck, it's a lot easier than trying to come up with great tasting recipes with numerous flavors .

I have DIY for approx two years and i'm actually worse now then when i started , yup , no joke , i am a horrific DIY er .

Now i'm disgusted and need to go lay down.

I have found 12% to be kind of a magic number with FW. Give or take.
Yea, same here but I'd had gotten a 'heads up' that the skittles flavor was super strong so I heeded their advice. You also can vape it asap after you mix it, no steeping required.

I'm looking to simplify my life and am looking for flavors that can stand alone. So far, I'm very impressed by FA peppermint at 4%. I could probably vape that for the rest if my life, but as always, variety is nice... so even though I have several recipes that I enjoy, it would be cool to have a few staple concentrates on hand that I know I can always rely on.

Please let me know which flavors you think are good on their own, and at what percent you use them. And extra props if it's good under 10% flavoring.

TFA Hawaiian Punch + TFA Sweetener (Sucralose).

I mix it at about 7%. And then Flavor a New Wick with it running in a RTA/Tank of Unflavored.

It would help to know what you like to vape. But recently I came across a nice stand alone blu raz slush (10%).
One Stop Flavors - Blue Raspberry Slush - 30mL

They always seem to be out of it so it's that good. Put yourself on the e-mail notify list.

Did you find this to be a good shake and vape or does it require steep? I had seen people raving about this flavor and ordered it. *My Buds* couldn't find the raspberry just slush at 10% then 13%.. I put it on the back burner for now and went on to the other 6 OSDIY flavors that I ordered, all of them are winners for me. Good at 10% or less but I like 'in yer face' flavor so I settled in at 13% with all of them. The "Old Tyme Root Beer" is great but at 15% it started tasting soda syrupy. "Sweet Southern Tea" is true to its name. Same with "Pink Lemonade". "Strawberry Milk" again is weak on the berry to me but still tasty,I'm hoping steep time wakes up the berry. "Chocolate Mint" is ok but I was hoping for dark choc, this is definitely milk choc to me. "Tobacco Blend" seems to be a very nice mellow tobacco flavor at 10%. A little too mellow for me at that % but didn't bother going any further yet cuz I don't really need it right now and got enuf of a taste to know I'll like it.. Have a 6+ month supply of tobacco already.

So the 1 flavor that led me to OSDIY was the only disappointment of the bunch. Certainly haven't given up on it tho.

Wile I vape mostly Hangsen tobacco flavors, I have one stand alone that I like and use, it's Flavor Art Forest Fruit. Pretty darn good.

I have tried FA white peach, and it's pure heaven. If you like Forest Fruit, you're likely to love White Peach. Just 2% does it for me.
