See, that's what I meant EdT586 :)

50 drops per ml / 5 drops per 10ml = 1%

I do know what you mean about tips.needles and how many variables there can be, but I was only referring to the original stock bottle tips. Long thin needle type, from Inawera as you mentioned. Other companies use these too and many DIY mixers know which they are and it's almost a known standard for those type of tips)

Thanks, corrected.
So now it should be pretty simple for using drops with the stock Inawera bottles ;P

Yeah, that makes it much easier when using a recipe calculator! I set 50 drops per ml for those bottles/flavors, and then use regular percentages via syringe (ignoring the drops per/ml info) for all other flavors that I know I'll syringe measure / aren't in the same type of dripper bottles

Ok, just been playing with the ejuice Me Up Calculator.
If you are going to use the stock Inawera dispensing bottle to measure the drops, then set the calculator to 50 Drops = 1ml to get 5 Drops = 1%/10ml

I use 40 drops per ml in e-juice me up for inawera so your calculation of 50 is reasonable compared to e-juice me up's default 20 drops per ml.

I'm surprised at how much I've been vaping shake and vape mixes lately. I've been experimenting quite a bit with different mixes so I whip up 3 and 5 ml batches and vape them up the same day lol. Todays vape is 3 days old though because I did make two bottles of it and this one was supposed to be set aside for a couple of weeks at least. I was just going to test it but it's 2ml down already and going fast lol.

Ina Vanilla for Pipe 3%
Rustica 1%
Ina Wanilia 1%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 1%
TFA Maple Syrup .5%

This one's a keeper for me. I think I'll post it over in the other thread as well.

I mixed a bottle of HS Virginia last week and pulled it from the shelf today. Nice light and smooth tobacco vape but still decent throat hit. Has a distinct sweetness to it that I really like. I mixed standalone 9mg 50/50 w/ 7% flavor. I have a bottle of INW VA TA that I mixed at 5% flavor. I'm going to add some drops in my tank today and see what it's like. Should give it some more earthy punch but remain sweet and smooth.

I have Gold and Silver up next. Flavor concentrate was fairly strong smelling in the bottle so I mixed that standalone @ 5%. Smells great. Complex and robust compared to other flavors like Deluxe, VA, Flue Cured, etc.

I have some #5 steeping that I added 1% AP to. I liked #5 standalone but I was expecting a bit more nuttiness last time so I added my own.

As I've been saying for the last year +.....I love me some HS tobaccos. I may never grow tired of them. For those who haven't but are considering trying, there are groups of flavors that seem to be in their own categories. This is my experience:

Sweeter side and smooth with no complex (or unusual) notes:

TAB (sweet and nutty. I like to mix TFA RY4D in this one for a dessert type tobacco vape)
Deluxe (excellent standalone. My wife loves it and is just transitioning from sweet vapes to tobaccos)
Flue cured (love love love this stuff)
#5 (similar profile to Deluxe but some added nut)
Virginia (just getting to know it but typical sweeter and smooth for sure)
RY4 (I personally don't consider this an RY4. Too bland imo but others like it)

Dryer and more robust:

RY1 (pretty standard tobacco flavor. Not my favorite but others love it. Good for mixing with other notes)
Highway (nutty is built in. Excellent standalone or for adding things like HS vanilla or whatever secondary note you want)
USA Red (I have a hard time getting good flavor out of this one. It's not ashy imo)

Unique:

Desert Ship (personal all time fave. Grassy, slightly sweet, and definitely an ADV for me)
Magic Mix (unusual. Has a spice and earthy undertone but still slight sweetness)
Indian (earthy and complex. Love this stuff when drinking bourbon)
Turkish (must try for anyone who even thinks they may like turkish tobacco)
Arabic (very unique. I don't like it but others love it. Has a distinct woody flavor. I think it tastes a bit like cedar)

I add a little EM to all my mixes once I try standalone. Usually around .5 - 1%. I prefer the moistness and slight sweetness it adds to the vape. However, it does mute flavors a little so figuring what % of each flavor to add is unique to the person. I generally go 5-7% across the board.

It becomes a breeze once the % of concentrate is figured out.
I simply add the drops to my empty bottle and then fill in with my premixed PG/VG/Nic base and shake can't more simple than making instant coffee ...errr e-juice ! ...LoL

Excellent job with this review. Will be a great help for the Hangsen folks unsure of a Hangsen tobacco flavoring.

As far as the Hangsen red USA. You really need the inawera DNB for this one to really bring out the ash and some virginia TA to bring out that robust tobacco taste. The virginia TA itself is also on the ashier side of most TA's.

As far as the Hangsen aribic I agree, It's not really my cup of tea either.

As far as the RY1 again you hit the nail on the head. Not like an RY at all just a plain tobacco taste BUT it's a really good foundation to build your own RY2, 3 or 4 expecially if what you find out there is not to your liking such as TFA's RY4D which I find way to sweet or you just want to build your own custom RY. I see we have a lot in common taste wise.

I normally do this as well, but I decided to try something different on my latest batch of base (1% TAV & 1%DNB) that I made up. Instead of the EM I added 0.5% of the TA Cuban cigar from Inawera because I find it quite sweet and thought it would replace the sweetness of EM. Needs a bit of steeping as it's very distinctive and noticeable at first, but once it's settled into the background it adds a touch of complexity to the mix as well as the sweetness.

Danny swears up and down that the Gold and Silver makes a good Cuban. Have you ever smoked a Cuban to compare?

I've smoked a lot of cigars in my time but honestly, it's been too long since my last one to really remember specific flavors. On a side note, I visited Cuba in 1995. You are allowed to sail passenger vessels there with permission from the Coast Guard. At least back then you could. Took us 4 months to get clearance but we did sail my friends sailboat to Cuba from Key West and explored the more resort type locations for 5 days. I picked up several different small batch cigars from various shops. I was told one was rolled between the legs of a virgin. LOL. No joke. Well, probably a joke but it's what I was told. All of them were fantastic either way.

Pretty amazing experience. Seeing all the USA cars from the 50's driving around was comical. They were all pieced together with parts from who knows where. Coastal waters were pristine and crystal clear and the people were warm and friendly. We stopped by a rusty little fishing boat with 2 guys spear fishing. Negotiated 8 big warm water lobster tails and a 15lb red snapper for $20 and a 12 pack of Budweiser. Now THAT is a sweet deal. I got the feeling that the fisherman thought they got the better end of the bargain though. Budweiser is a rare commodity in Cuba. haha

OMG, what is this Gold and Silver discussion ?
The whole reason I started to vape is to find a Cuban substitute. As the US embargo lifts the price of Cubans will sky rocket for those of us that smoke our Cuban puros daily here in Canada. My supplier has already mentioned there is a 6% increase as of this week !

I'll let Danny speak for himself on the Gold and Silver because I forget where I read his post. Yeal seems like I also read that about a looming price increase as well.

Edit: Found it. There might be some other info in the thread as well, just in case you haven't seen it. Cuban Cigar | E-Cigarette Forum

If Cuban is what you're after then I highly recommend the Molinberry Ash Cigar from VT. It is probably the closest thing to a robust cigar I've ever tried. Maybe not the milder Cohiba, but more of a dark rich Alhambra style. I even tried not inhaling it like a cigar smoker would, and got the real cigar taste and sensation.
Molinberry Ash Cigar: 12dr/05ml(my rec. dosage)
Hope you try it and let us know what you think

Just tried the Inawera TA Cuban Cigar after steeping for 3 days. Tried it at 4% and found little too weak, 5%(25 drops/10ml) is just about right.
Tastes nothing like a Cuban, the tastes and smell is comparable to one of those vintage machine made green leaf cigars from the late 50's and 60's that were packaged in a glass tube. It has a sweet perfume taste, not the Cuban tang that we associate with a fine Cuban puro.

This La Florena S.y.H cigar is as close as it get to TA Cuban Cigar. I could not find any more information about this brand of cigars on the internet, I just have the the bands to remind me what they were and the half a dozen sticks my grandad left behind from the early to mid 60's that I had smoked on my desperate days when my stash of puros ran out in the my humidor.

Would appreciate it if anyone knows more about this brand. I would think it tastes more like the stuff from General Cigars Co. in the US.

There is some truth to this. The Cohiba factory was set up right after the 1959 revolution to train young girls in cigar rolling ...so this is where this urban mythology comes from. The Cohiba brand and the Cohiba Trinidad are now associated as Cuba's premier cigar brand and are given as diplomatic gifts.

I mixed in some INW TA VA into a tank of HS VA last night. The bottle of INW VA is mixed @ 5% flavor. I mixed in 25% INW and 75% HS. Tasted awesome. The slight ash and heady tobacco flavor from the INW really played nicely with the smoother/sweeter HS VA. I did like the convenience of just being able to mix 2 premixed flavors together right in the tank. No need to figure anything out on the mixing table.

That does sound good. I sometimes like a little ash if it's not too strong and at the moment I'm using the VZ SC Real Cig to add that to a mix. I'm running a little low on it so I'll have to make up my mind on replacing it or trying the Inawera TA VA. So many flavors, so little money lol. :vapor:

I don't like ash much at all to be honest. But INW VA is more leafy than ashy. Just a touch of ash. 5% is pretty strong as a standalone. It was my first mix with it and too strong for my tastes but now I found a good use for it without messing around with dilution. :)
