I am using a vivi nova 2.8o and not real thrilled with it. I vape coffee flavor and it taste good, then it starts tasting burnt. Plus the whole wick being in the center is a PIA. So what is the best topper and why?

Hi Sennie,
I don't get any burnt taste with that set up. Do you tip and roll while using it?

I doubt there's a "best" set up - will be personal preference. You can use carto tanks, rebuildables... Each has its own learning curve.

yes I roll, flip upside down, do everything I can think of to keep that wick wet. Seriously drives me nuts!! I actually switched it out with the T3 again and that 1 seems to do better longer. UGH.... just looking for something to get a great taste for the whole tank.

Is this the knock off or the Vision? I use mainly PG/VG 80/20 or 70/30 in mine and don't have any issues. Have you cleaned and tried a dry burn on the heads? If its the Vision and you can't get it going how you want then a carto tank may be for you.

ugh what a PIA!!
I use coffee with one of my vivi novas. Yes they crud up pretty quick unlike my fruit flavors. I clean and dry burn my coffee vivi nova tanks after every refill. The stock setup kinda sucks, I recommend you go into rebuilding. Performance would be much better.

Since I keep a phoenix on the most I'd have to say that is my favorite. I have went through two Rainbow v3 attys and will order a 3rd just because I've liked them when they were working. I have tried several attys. I like a Vivi Nova that's been rebuilt and improved. A buddy rebuilt one head for me on my Vivi and I couldn't put it down. It was great. A stock Vivi is a bit too muted for me.

I tend to use the Phoenix RBA Dripper. It is a simple setup which works for me. I still have the factory setup in the RBA which is around 1.7-2.0 ohms. I set it at a good wattage setting and just let it go. But, to me I still like to drip and having a RBA makes it better for me since I can adjust to my liking when I will eventually rebuild. I am thinking about having a goal of 2.6-3.0 ohms. That way, I can rock it at a higher setting without worrying about blowing an atty. But, my other devices usually have either a Kanger ProTank or ViVi Nova on them which are also quite nice to vape with. I think whatever is best for you is the best topper for a device in my honest opinion. You cannot go wrong with anything even something as simple as a clearo.

Good luck with whatever you try, just find which works best for you because that is all that really matters to be honest.

Keep trying until you are sure that your setup is giving you the best vape ever!
