Before I lose the ability to post in the new members forum, I wanted to post this. People often ignore the banners at the top of these forums, but they're important. Please take 2 minutes out of your day to submit this form. It might mean the difference between continuing to do something you love and losing that ability entirely.

It seems like every day I see / read something on the news spreading misinformation from our government in regards to e-cigs. It's nonsense driven by big tobacco to protect their profits, and if we don't stop it they may very well get their way. Please visit the link below to send a pre-written e-mail from CASAA members to your representatives. It literally takes just a minute, and might make a big difference.

Feel free to post your thoughts, or to let others know you've taken action below. This will help keep the post bumped.

Thanks, and vape on!

EDIT - There is a Senate Committee meeting to discuss the use of e-cigs on June 18 (today). If you live in one of the states listed below, you have a senator on the Senate Commerce Committee, and we are asking that you take a moment to participate in the CQ Roll Call Campaign to send a letter and call your senator. All you have to do is fill in contact info and hit submit - that's it.

I just got an instant canned response from Congressman Waxman. He blathered about "how Congress can confront the many challenges facing our country" and "government can be a force of good in people's lives". (Or misery if you get my drift).
He promised to give me a "personalized" canned response later.

I had previously communicated with Waxman about the future of e-cigs and government control/suppression. His position is that they are the spawn of Satan. So I don't expect much action or passion on his part for our side.

For those of you who don't live in California, Waxman has announced his retirement and there has been a mad dash by numerous politician/Puritan/bureaucrats to get elected as his replacement. So since he is jumping ship, it is truly a waste of time to beat this dead horse.

BTW CA senators Boxer & Feinsteen are worthless oxygen thieves also.

Great idea, I actually joined casaa before i joined the forum. I've responded to the calls to action, I've only been vaping two months, but I've been cig free since starting and I'm not letting the big money interests take my ecig away.

Hell yes! The more attention we bring to the issue the better our chances of avoiding disaster for this life saving industry. Keep bumping this, please!
