I do know where I can get o-rings for my technical needs (oil resistant, heat resistant, etc.), but I have now idea where to get FDA approved o-rings suitable as spare rings for tanks.

I use the o-ring store. That's where some tank vendors have sent me to to get a specific o-ring I was looking for.

I just use Buna metric o rings. Let me guess...the FDA says they have formaldehyde.
nope no formaldehydes..... but it loaded with benza"lines" ( worse than formadehydes)
I'm pretty sure there is nothing on the market that is FDA approved for vaping. Give it time though and that will likely change.

FDA approved silicone is typically a translucent colour (so white-looking) and the reason is to avoid the agents used to dye the rubber from leaching out.
Any o-rings like those will likely be fine.

Maybe he likes to chew 'em like bubble gum! Mmmmm o-ring-alicious. On a serious note I have no idea. I've seen other threads mentioning the oring store. The only problem I have with that is it costs me like $5 and they send me a bajillion when I only need a couple. My KFL replacement oring set I bought has the black orings (not the transluscent ones).
Really stupid question but what size o-ring would I want for a typical 510 drip tip?

Sorry guys. But don't it looks like some idiocy in relation to FDA regulations is governing on the forum? Do you want to vape juce with some special chemicals leached from o-rings? By far the main possible source of contamination in vape equipment are o-rings.

Been a while for me-Danco brand in the plumbing section-size 36 and 47 were always a good fix for me-seems to have been a third size, can't pull it up at the moment-lol
No. As I said, regulations will probably be put in place sometime soon. Not sure they will cover O-rings, but there is a chance they will.
I vape RDAs so there is only a very minimal chance of contamination. What makes you think O-rings are the main possible source of contamination? I would suggest there are many, but none have been found that worry me yet. OTOH, I do make my own juice
