I was one of those people. I just signed. Geez. I thought all of this was over. It is absolutely about the money they won't be getting from smokers. But what I don't get is...they don't get squat when the smokers die from the effects. This makes me so flippin mad.
that's because they know that you won't die on your first cigarette. chances are you'll smoke for years spending thousands and thousands on cigs alone.
then when you want those last ten years of your life back you'll decide to use an FDA approved quit smoking aid, chances are the first one won't work so you'll go back to cigs for awhile, then try again with a different FDA approved smoking aid, then another and another.
before you know it you've spent tens of thousands of dollars on smoking and smoking related aids and big tobacco has made it's prophets from you, big pharma has made it's prophets from you (remember those quit smoking aids?) and the FDA has made alot of money from you from both sources.
They don't want you to be healthy. they want you to die, slowly and painfully and spend alot of money doing it. Now multiply that by the 24million people that currently smoke in this country and you've got alot of damn money.
