That article is discussing the SE process, but yeah, the PMTA process is even worse. 7 years, one set of 9 PMTA's approved, all for Swedish Match Snus under the General brand. Their MRTP(modified risk tobacco product) application is still pending.

I thought it was denied, but maybe I missed that they're still trying to get it approved.
My understanding is that it hasn't been "denied" but the application was insufficient, and they are welcome to continue the application process.
My understanding is that any denied application can be redone and resubmitted.
If I'm mistaken, it sure wouldn't be the first time.
