also play with your juice... best advise I can give you there is def get your hands on some unflavored and use it to dilute your store bought juices. I found the straight up store bought juices to be a bit overpowering and even sickening at times but since diluting and cutting it with unflavored I have been super happy and my inevitable chase for the perfect juice has now ended, but I still have flavor variety too... youd be surprised how many juices are just not doing it for you until you try a subtle version of the same juice by diluting it

That is exactly how I got to the point of vaping only unflavored juice. I started diluting it because it was strong (and expensive) and little by little I decided I liked it better with no flavor. It is a hell of a lot cheaper too!!

yeah I vaped just unflavored for a good while all by itself and do still like the simple refreshing simplicity of unflavored too , but then I also added in a bit of store bought juice into the mix for a little added variety and flavor, I usually only do about 10-20% commercial juice to 80-90% unflavored so it is much more economical this way too

My wife approached a crowd of vaping ladies outside her work one day. She said they all had the big boxes with big glass etc and she felt ashamed to join in with her little 'girly' pen. I advised her that in life you stick to what you believe in, not the group think thing others would have you believe.

A couple days later she said she approached the same crowd and proudly whipped out a Cascade pen and showed those other gals a real cloud. lol.
(She said didn't let on that she was dizzy for an hour after.)

I work on a construction site with "burely-manly-men". Some vape instead of smoking. Not a one scoffs at my tiny gear because they are a fraternity of former smokers who'll whip your .... if you dare goof on someone like me trying to quit smoking.

Being an ECF member has provided me with the knowledge of the some of the gear they choose and often times just asking what flavor they are using today ends up striking up conversations. Positive vibes. I've also noticed the typical big tool vapers respect the small devices when you mention stealth vaping.

The ones that look down on you for not having the so-called popular stuff aren't worth a conversation with anyway. Now the non smoker/non vaper crowd... thatz a different animal. But I've learned in my brief time as a vapor I've noticed many times they quip "that smells good, what is it" when a whisp of vape blows past them.

When I'm with a bunch of guys vaping their large 250Watt Mods...and I'm vaping my tiny Goby Mod...I'll say..."I've found the size of one's Mod is always proportional to the size of one's pen*s"...

I carry a Sourin Air in case my gazillion watt,10 gallon setup, 27 extra batteries, extra tanks and extra drop ins fail. As long as I don't smoke and don't care what others think. As far as never smoked, never vaped folks and their comments I politely ask them would they prefer to smell cigarette smoke. When they say no I say me either.
Not saying this to brag but since I stopped smoking so have all but 1 of my co-workers. They saw me succeed and got onboard the no smoking train. Some started vaping, some went cold turkey. The one that didn't quit stopped smoking at work. I caught good humor ribbing at first because i started blowing huge clouds of "fru fru", as you like to call them, and chocolate cereal smells but within a couple weeks I was meeting my boss at my favorite vape shop to turn him over to the genuinely caring folks there that set him up with what works for him, a Penguin.
I told my boss last night the door to the smoking area never got opened or even unlocked yesterday.
Let them scoff, let them comment, let them whatever. She's free . That's what really matters.

Sorry if I am keeping this post alive but I have really been enjoying it. I have discovered I like what I have but just for fun with your help maybe I could experiment a little. I don't need any new mods. I have multiple I-sticks. I was thinking maybe I could try some different tank with a sub om resistance on it. This way I could keep the cost down but experiment a little. Also I think I would have to mix a lighter juice. I vap 12mg nic with my present resistance and I was told that that would be way to much fo a sub om.

Any ideas on something I could slap on my i-stick and blow some monster clouds haha :rickroll:

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
Hi All,

I use to be here a lot when I first stopped smoking and started vaping. It has been 2 years and 2 months without even one cig!! I smoked for 40 years and was smoking 2 and half packs a day the last so many years.

I guess I just stopped in here for a little encouragement. Hell, maybe I could even offer a little encouragement :) I have friends who still smoke and I smell it. Other people see me vap and always have an opinion (not that I ask for it). It just gets me a little down.

I guess some of the newness of vaping has worn off and I am a little worried that I might go back to smoking somehow.

Maybe we could just start a positive thread. Anyway, it's good to be back here.

Dan

PS Can anyone recommend a good cig and money counter program? I got a new pc laptop and I don't remember the program I used before. Oh, I got a new laptop because I save about $3000 a year not smoking.
i literally just a few moments ago posted an app i use to keep track of cigs not smoked since i quit and the money saved,, many out there,, many have tools to keep you on track,, I just wanted a 'bean counter' :)

You are asking a lot from that 40 w I-stick. And run the risk of it not being able to power a sub ohm tank/coils. I guess maybe you could but not sure it would be too enjoyable for you......no subohm tank comes to mind.....maybe another member has some thoughts.

A TFV8 X-Baby tank(Baby Beast Brother) needs at least 30 W to even power a M2 coil and that's at its lowest to get a decent vape. Your battery probably can't handle that.

Hi Dan!
I'm relatively new to ECF. I started Vaping in January and after 3 weeks, my husband also quit smoking by vaping. He smoked for 33 years, and he still has the occasional craving for a cigarette, especially when smokers are nearby. Two days ago he bummed a cig off a friend. He said it made him feel incredibly dizzy, and the sensation remained for almost an hour. I reminded him that he used to smoke 40 of them in one day! I read that cigarettes can have various amounts of nicotine within, and with my husband and I Vaping 1.5-3mgs, I'm shocked he didn't have more nicotine OD symptoms.

I tell you this so maybe it will help discourage you from giving in to temptation. Perhaps you could find a new way to celebrate vaping so you won't be bored. You could start a blog, try making your own juice or coils, or become more involved in here since you've returned. I know newbies like me can always use help and guidance from experienced vapers!

Even though it's not healthy there is something appealing about that "carbon monoxide effect" even though I rarely got it when I was a full time smoker. (I consider 3 ppd a "full time smoker").

I mean, I don't love it enough to sit, vaping in my car in my (nonexistent) garage or anything, that seems to be taking it a bit too far, but like, yeah I kind of miss it sometimes which really makes zero sense, I mean it's akin (sensation wise) to running into a wall by accident (which I have done, BTW) but it's not like I sat down and enjoyed my "dizzy head rush" or anything, I was more like, "Curse it, confusing white wall corridor."

Why not get a tube with a powerful battery, a 6ml tank on top (something like this), throw some strong nic salts in with your tobacco flavored juice and whenever you think about smoking, take a good hit off that thing? If that doesn't wipe away thoughts about cigs for you, I don't know what could...

Unfortunately Dan...I really can't help ya'...

I've only aimed for the amount of vapor that approximates the amount of smoke I got from my (previously) beloved cigarettes...

"monster clouds" => would only make it more likely for someone to complain when I'm vaping in a grocery store or restaurant...

"monster clouds" => would only make it more difficult to view my laptop screen and more difficult for me (and my NON-smoking and NON-vaping GF) to keep up with The Young and The Restless on TV...

I would have said "inversely proportional". :)

It just occurred to me that I have a 200 watt device I got 2 years. I need to get new batteries but it should work for experimental purposes.
