I've vaped at all the bars I've been to since I've started, just a few, I don't go out much and at a few restaurants (we usually like to sit at tables in the bar area if there's one. I do always ask first, it's been ok so far. At one bar when I asked the bartender if it was ok, he said he had no issue with it since I was using egos and they look nothing like a cigarette. I've never tried vaping somewhere like a store or anything like that. I wish I had the cajones to do it!

I vape at the grocery store and department stores like Walmart. I do it rather discreetly and do not draw attention to myself. I don't openly vape in front of store employees, but I'm fully aware that the department stores have hidden cameras everywhere to catch shoplifters, so if security had a problem with it I'm sure that they would put a stop to it.

I believe that because I use mods that look nothing like a cigarette, that people can identify right away that what I am doing is not smoking. So maybe that is an advantage over the cigalikes which might be mistaken for smoking a cigarette.

I have done this with similar results. A part of me has always wondered though if they have any idea of what you are doing, or what to do with it. You didn't make anything go *BOOM* and you didn't throw it under a clothing rack for it to go boom later. Whatever the device is, is put back in your pocket then later leave with it. I will admit my general curiosity with the human mind has more then once got the best of me... But what if?

Whatever job it is that I am doing I always take it professionally and personally, but before I knew about what vaping really was. I don't know if I would have looked at it as " no harm no foul" or what I would have seen it as.

See? That's exactly what I mean! I would never have the balls to do that! I'm too paranoid about the people around freaking out. I talk about my e cigs to anybody that asks about them (I wish everyone would use e cigs instead smoking) but its always where I would have smoked. Like the other day, I went to get a new cellphone and while I was waiting for my info to be transferred I went outside and vaped. While I was outside a woman asked me if it worked, I told her all about my experience and gave her the name and number to a local B&M.

I get questioned all the time about it.

The interview.

"What is that? Where'd you get it? How much it cost?" ...I've gotten to where I just say "it's to quit smoking. It's 40 bucks." Just because I'm tired. Oh so tired.

Back before I had a vehicle, I would vape at sketchy bus stops. At this time, I would get looked at like I'm smoking a crack pipe. I've had a few people ask me if it was, in fact, a crack pipe.

It's getting better, as ecigs are blowing up here and becoming common.

At least I don't smoke cigs. Or ANALOGS

At bars and clubs, EVERYONE is vaping. Why not? You don't have to go out side. The Dj even Vapes.

I get that... I understand it even. Also I understand you are doing nothing wrong. If pushed you can prove this, therefor, you have the full power of the law behind you even if you have to take it further then you wish(given local and stat laws about vaping and so as long you follow them). That said.. I do not advocate vaping in a scene it can cause confrontation or should ever be used as a means to do so. If you are in the right then you have no reason to hide it. If you are able to vape, then do it. The worst that can happen is that far to many people ask to many questions and you are the one doing the right thing. Vaping in the smoking section of a bar or restaurant is OK. If a person wants to vape or not the idea of harm reduction must be spread to the masses for vaping to thrive and grow. It is only threw education vapors will differentiate themselves from smokers. But it is a path best tread wisely.

I have smoked since I was 6 or 7 years old. I may someday owe my life to vaping because I have tried and failed many times to get off of tobacco. I am almost four months free and I could not have done it without my ecigs. A special thank you to Volt and smokelessimage.com for having the kit to make it easier for me and all new beginning ecig users.

Just started vaping in march and its more acceptable to people than I thought. I guess with all these vape shops popping up in and around my city, it was bound to catch on and be more socially acceptable.

I was at a TGI Fridays on Memorial Day. Sat at the bar and set my K100 down on the counter with no plans to even take one toot. Bartender takes my drink order and says "Oh btw, you can't smoke those in here .." The sentence was followed by a big smile and a "just kidding, I don't mind as long as no one complains." I basically got the green light to vape away!

I'm still nervous about taking a big drag and vaping up public bars so ill do a little stealthy puff. Good to see that this vape movement is becoming more common and widely accepted.

It's funny that I see vapors in bars everywhere now gaining a lot of attention with their mods.. Even snowboarding. My advice: Life is way too short to even be having such deep, self conscious, paranoid thoughts about people judging you for vaping, when it has become quite popular anyway. Next time do it at the bar! Seriously why even care, no one else does!?! It's a freedom not a chain

I have vaped out front of the movie theater or out front of a restaurant with my Provari and pink Vivi nova and yes, I have felt self conscious but did it because I needed a fix. I try not to be too obvious but when you need a fix, you need a fix. I figure maybe eventually enough people will get used to the idea of Ecigs if they start seeing us come out of the woodwork.

I actually love bringing my e-cig to bars. I used it as a conversation starter with random people and have a weee party trick where i fill a glass with vapor and have them "Drink it" :p Never had a single person complain about my e-cig and since i bought it 3 weeks ago i have convinced 6 smokers to switch and so far none of them have looked back. More people need to vape openly in my opinion helps get the image out there and gives smokers the extra push they need to quit.

before my GF and i (or with several of our friends who also vape) sit down and order a drink, we make sure they'll let us vape.

if "no"...we'd leave.

if "yes" (which has been every bar we've gone to so far in SATX) we line up our mods on the bar and proceed to get our vapor-enhanced borracho on :D

I stopped feeling self conscious about it long ago.

First time in a bar to vape before pulling out my pv thinking of how it would look(some tiime in 2009) to vape in public, it got real hot and burned my leg in shorts sitting in a bar on a bar stool(button push).I freaked, grabbed it, pulled it out, and laughed my head off and the worry of others lifted like yesterday.Congrats on not worrying , your choice is solid and 99% of people know it.

I like to raise awareness and also answer questions when someone asks. When I go to the bar with friends that smoke I take my extra egos with me so they can use them. I just haven't vaped in places where when smoking was ok, I wouldn't have smoked. The bar isn't such a big deal to me.
I do wish they were more popular here. It seems that I am always the only one, besides my friends who use mine, that is vaping. As of yet, I've only helped one friend kinda quit the stinkies, he smokes about 1/2 or less than he used to. I have other friends that are curious but haven't jumped in. I don't want to force it on anyone. But I wish they would quit smoking! It's been a glorious journey for me! If you would have asked me a year ago if I would quit smoking, I would have said no! I'm sooooo glad I did! I want everyone to!! :)
