I already have two X2's and a Spinner, all are 1300mah. I would never think of going back to smoking but sometimes I miss the ease of it compared to vaping with a large battery. I'm thinking about getting some 78mm autos and cartos and hoping for some help with a few questions.

I vape all day non stop, approximatly how long will will one 78mm battery last me of constant non stop chain vaping?

Weight wise with a carto, what is it like to hold them in your mouth and vape hands free like smoking a cigarette?

How well do they hold a full charge when not being used? If I charge them up then leave them sit for a few days, how much if any of a charge will they loose?

With the batterys I am also thinking about getting the slider PCC. How many times can it fully charge a 78mm battery?

How rugged is the Slider PCC, would I be able to put it in my pocket and walk around the county fair all day long without having to worry about breaking it even without the sleeve over it?

Last question I promise. How many 78mm batterys do you think I would need for constant chain vaping to last me a whole day without having to recharge any batterys. Say I wake up and grab a charged battery, when that dies I grab another charged battery and so on.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me. I love that the 1300mah battery will last me all day, coming from a Blu cig I could kill in half an hour it's a god send. But I'm sure you all know what I mean when I say that a large manual battery does not always make for 'easy' vaping.

Brand new, realistically, probably a couple of hours. This does lessen as the batts get older.

A lot of people do this very successfully (auto batt of course). But if you're used to manuals, you might have to play with your draw on autos (I hate them).

Not much, if any. I just used my 78s after not having used them for a few months, and I only had to recharge them for just a couple of minutes (literally).

No experience there. Sorry. But I hear the mega one might be more useful.

Bet they're just as rugged as an iPhone

That's what I was doing. I carried them in a 120s cig case with cartos attached. I had 5 to get me through the whole day.

See answers above. Also, just last week when I had to use my 78s, it was kind of a bummer coming from X2s for me (of course it might be perfectly fine for you). I don't think they hit as well as the X2s - for me it was a little unsatisfying. I can't see myself lugging a 1300 around - I didn't even like my 900. But I've been very happy with my 650s (I carry 2 in a skinny pencil case). ;)

I pretty much agree with everything Cindy said. I recently just got some Nanos because I wanted to try them out. It gave me a reason to pull out my Volts, and even after several months they still had a full charge. The combo works great but I have yet to take them out with me to try. I believe the main reason I switched to the X2 was because the battery lasted longer. I have both a 650 and a 1300. The 1300 (with a clearo) is LONG. I dunno how you're able to carry that around! I normally use mine at home... The 650 with X2 clearo or t3 is pretty reasonable. Did you ever consider getting a 650 and maybe some t3 minis? I'm sure that would be much easier to carry around. Not sure if my vaping habits are like yours, but my 650 normally lasts me an entire day (could be more but I charge it every night). In your case you could always buy two... It would be easier than carrying 10 of the smaller batteries, if that's what you were thinking about doing

I chain vape. I use an avg of 225 mAh of battery per hour. I used the stick battery's for a week and handed them to my wife. Bought 2 X2 900 mah and those work pretty good. Then I bought 2 1300 spinners. Those last me about 6 hours before they need to charge. The only thing I've found that can last all day is a 2600mah mod. I would say that you really won't be happy with 78's

Cindy, thank you for your answers.

Homeprogreen, I never really thought about averaging how many mah I use. To be honest I'm not sure if I've really payed attention to how long a battery last me. I can drain a spinner pretty easy if I tried. When I leave the house I always take an X2 with the spinner just in case.

But I'm not planning on giving up my 1300mah batterys, I just am looking for something to compliment them. Like when I go to my buddy's house, we have a few beers and play some cards and video games. At my best friend's, brother's bar, he allows ecigs inside and we play pool, darts and other bar games. I have an auto X2, I don't mind autos but even that is a PITA. Weight wise, what would an auto 650mah be like with a carto on it? The T3's are a little to airy on autos, but do able. I'm looking for some kit that I can use hands free and not have to balance whatever task it is I'm trying to do and vape at the same time.

As far as lugging around a 1300mah battery for day to day...It is surprisingly easy when it's your only form of nicotine delivery.

Sounds like a couple of auto 78s would serve you well, to try out (don't forget the charger). 650s aren't all that heavy, but hands free would be a lot more doable with the 78s. Save your teeth! :thumb::laugh:

If you wanna get real creative, I've heard of a few that have rigged their auto batts with a 9mm tube for hands free (you suck on the tube, the batt stays in your pocket).

Just a quick comparison for you... Obviously my measurements are in grams, but it will allow you to compare other battery sizes relative to the one you have.... Roughly. I weighed all of these empty:

X2 1300 w/ T3 Clearo (manual): 61g
X2 650 w/ T3 Clearo (manual): 52g
Volt 78 (manual) w/ Nano: 21g
Volt 65 (auto) w/ Nano: 19g

I don't think there is much of a difference b/w manual vs auto in terms of mass.

I got my 78's in yesterday and tried them out... They are great! Battery life is good for a small battery, they obviously don't compare to my spinner but they vape really well for what they are. They wasn't my main vape I used them when driving and walking around the flea market yesterday, one battery lasted me the whole time for a good few hours. It actually outlasted the prefilled cartomizer I got in the starter kit and never did die. When the carto started going dry I stopped using the battery.

I had to V2 batteries and ordered an auto 78mm Volt before I realized that I couldn't use my V2 charger. So it laid dormant. In the meantime I ordered a 900mAh X2 and love it. But still missed using the cigalikes from time to time. So I just ordered a manual 78mm and a charger. I take the two 78mm and X2 out and about and I am covered. Pretty much retired the V2 batteries. Especially since one has a stuck switch and I am awaiting a warranty replacement. I will say this. In my initial V2 kit I got an auto and a manual. Hated the manual and traded to my mom for her auto. She ordered a kit at the same time as me. After using the X2 I have a new-found love for manuals and like using it ow even on the 78mm. And I find the 78mm last me a good bit of time over the V2 batteries. I will usually kill one and then go to my X2 saving the other 78mm for just in case.

I started with 65/78's. They got me off cigarettes, so I loved them. However, I found I vaped about 5ml a day, pretty close to chain vaping. Each battery would last about 2 hours, and take 2-3 to recharge. I found myself always charging constantly, and worrying about not having a battery ready to use. This is with 3 batteries. I work in an office so I always had 1 charging. My first x2 was a 650, and it was a savior. I ended up giving my little batteries to my sis, and only use x2 and spinners. Now my sis is only using x2's as well.

Less like cigarettes, but more functional. I got used to 1300's after 26 years of smoking. Carrying a bunch of little batteries around would be a PITA for me. But, if it is more comfortable for you, go for it. :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
I'll throw in my two cents worth.

I have six 78mm auto batteries for daily use and three SI 1.5amp wall warts for charging them. I use the 78mm autos when my hands are busy. They generally least an hour and a half or two hours of fairly heavy vaping. I'd say 3/4 of a CE3 worth of liquid. They can be easily held in the mouth and used "no hands", but they don't last very long if used heavily. They are great for those times when your hands are too full to use a manual.

I'll throw in my daily set up for Aaron to compare further.

I'm in an office and can vape all day there. I have 3 of the smaller 650's on rotation. 1 in use, 1 charging and 1 charged. I would typically be getting towards the end of the 2nd battery by the end of the day (unless it's a slow day - then I'll get to that 3rd batt!). I would only recommend the V2 PCC, which I have plugged in at work all day (but wouldn't need to as they easily charge 3 times). Although they still work, I tend to replace the 650's about once every 6 months. It's worth mentioning that when at home in the evening, I usually use my X2 therefore giving the poor 650's a break!
This suits me just fine as I much prefer the standard 'ciggy' size in public places and for work.
Hope this helps :vapor:
