Few questions for the experts please

i am getting a burnt taste sometimes with my ego. I have never put a drop on the atomizer before smoking but am starting to do so now. I thought maybe I needed to change out atomizers as I have used these two for about a month. I did buy some mega atomizer with a mega empty cartidge. It does pretty good but did get that burnt taste once ...refilled it and it went away. I also bought one of the one piece mega atomizer/cartridges but havent tried that yet. Is it time for me to buy more atomizers? How do you know when it is time to do so? I did have one time I could hardle drag thru mine. Pushed the button but not much happened. Also, are the mega atomizers with the mega cartridges having any problems? I like them pretty good and may switch over to them completely. Any ideas? Thanks.Thanks, nancyc

Just run them under hot water, blow them out then dry overnight and they'll be good to go.

Have you heard about the 510 cartomizers yet? Search them- I personally use the ones from liquidxpress and love them.

i use a screwdriver and a joy 501, both are excellent,,just clean your atomizer under running hot water or do as i do put 2 drops of dawn in them then in a cup of hot water for a good 30 min soak..rinse off under
running water, blow them out good and dry with paper towel..reattach,
add 3 drops to atomizer and vape away,,,,and by the way

with any atomizer you have to keep them wet. not overly so.

too much juice and they wont vape, too little and they taste burnt.

experiment as to how many drops you need to use. It comes with experience.

a couple of drops on the atomizer should do the trick..

You are probably using carts so it might not take as much primer drops ro get your attys primed.

Atomizer: If I get a month out of 1 I consider it a miracle.. lol You cant beat the taste of a new atty.. have several as backups just in case at all times..

A burnt taste usually means a dry atty. If the burnt taste goes away after dripping 1-2 drops on the bridge of your atty, that means that the atty was dry and you need to figure out why it was dry. Is the filler for your cartridge wet?

I am using an atty that is 2 months old. I have seen some posts of 6+ month old attys. Everyone seems to use their own methods for atty care. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/69834-my-atty-resurrection-method.html is the method I use anytime there is a drop in performance.

This has to be the friendliest website I have ever been involved with. Thanks so much and HI to my SC friends. Nice to know I am not alone in the big state of SC with my ecig. LOL.
Anyway, I am alittle confused about some of the terms. I know the atomizer is the one with the wick that attaches to the battery. Where I get mixed up is , the cartridge is the one i put the lliquid in? So is the cartomizer , a cartridge with a atomizer as one piece? I have the mega atomizer and mega cartridges for my ego. The problem with this one is the cartridge seems to slip out of the atomizer easily... I also have the one piece that is the cartridge and the atomizer in one but i havent tried it yet. I think this is what you are calling a cartomizer, RIGHT? I am alittle nervous about people saying theirs are burning. That scares me..I may start dipping, I think it is called. I dont like the filler in the cartridges. Dont know what I am inhaling...wow, a smoker nervous about what they are smoking. LOL. Anyway, I am down to smoking about 7 cigs a day compared to a pack and feel so much better. When I do smoke a regular cig, I have to smoke my ecig afterwards cause the taste is so much better. I am hooked and I mean hooked on MS. T's snickerdoodle and a few others. I love them. Thanks again for your welcoming me . My neice is going to switch over next.
