Hey all,
After smoking too much and to long, with many failed quit attempts I have decided to try vaping. 3 days in and not a single cigarette and I am enjoying vaping far more than smoking. My mod is an mvp 2.0 with kanger 3
Anyhow I had a few questions.
- When switching to different juices do you rinse your tank out or simply add the new and let the old run through?
- what % pg/vg do you use?
- whats your favorite flavors?
- do different tanks work better for vaper production, throat hit ect? (have a kanger 3 and the I clear 30)
- What are some good flavors to try?

- different tanks
- I use between 50-70 VG; 50/50 is highly recommended for new vapers and adjust from there.
- (no answer)
- yes
- (make sure and try some unflavored for a benchmark).

I'm a new member and my new thing is mechanical mods. But I did spend some time with regulated mods(I have a vamo v5 and a lavatube). I haven't used a T3 but to answer if the atomizer makes a difference in vapor production? Yes also so will the VG ratio of your juice. I use a 50/50 blend in clearos and the like and have been trying a 20/80 in my rebuildable with adjustable airflow and it's pretty foggy. But I've heard multiple places that your vapor production depends on vg ratio, airflow, and wicking. My current ADV is MBV spurberry 50/50 12mg. Also throat hit is a mix of pg level and nicotine level. You could up nic and lower pg and achieve the same effect or vice versa. Sorry to ramble and welcome aboard.

in order:

- i always let the old flavor run through, unless the flavors were completely different. rinsing doesn't hurt, though, up to you.
- 50/50 or higher vg, i prefer a smoother vape (less throat hit) and more vapor
- starting out, i liked strong, sweet fruit flavors. now that i've been at it for a while and my taste buds are more or less back, i like vanillas and vanilla custards, which (imo) are less intense and easier to use as an adv
- yes, i've heard iclear 30 is good, in my experience kanger protanks are very good all-around tanks
- starting out, my absolute favorite flavor was frozen lime drop by pink spot. tastes like a margarita. i'd highly recommend it - i know several other people who loved it as their first adv.

- When using a tank, I typically rinse out the tank with warm water, and dry burn my coil if using a prebuilt, or re-wick if using a rebuildable.
- I typically go no less than 50/50, but I prefer around 70% VG/30% PG.
- I prefer dessert/bakery flavors, with fruits mixed in here and there. Currently vaping Suicide Bunny's OB, Neckbeard's Nectar, and Seduce Juice's Myrrh.
- Yes, different tanks can have an affect on vapor production, this is largely due in part to the build of the coil, airflow, wicking, etc. As far as clearomizers go, my go-to is the Aspire Nautilus, for my money, it's hard to find a better vape on a clearo.
- There are typically three varieties of flavors; desserts, fruits and tobaccos, with some juices being a mix. As far as a place to be able to get a variety of juices from different companies, I can't recommend Giant Vapes enough.

Good luck, and stick with it!

Hi bikeguy, welcome to the forum. To answer your questions:

- You can do either, really, it's up to you. Most have designated tanks for different flavors though.

- I personally like 30PG/70VG, but this is a personal thing and after trying different base ratios, you will find the on that is right for you. 50/50 is a good start, as edyle mentioned. PG will give you a stronger throat hit, but that will depend on the juice and nic level also.

- My favorite flavors after a year tend to be the same. I would try sample packs from vendors to get a variety of flavors to see what you like. You start with what you like to eat, but this won't always be helpful. Some things that I like to eat, I don't really care to vape. But, that's a good starting point. Check out the general e-liquid forum for threads that review specific juices.

- Different tanks definitely make a difference in vapor production and throat hit. The opinions on what is the best will vary from person to person, but in general, rebuildable tanks give the optimum flavor, but you have a learning curve with those, and I wouldn't start there right away unless you are inclined in the electronic/gadget arenas. For replaceable coils, such as your Kanger, I find that bottom coil tanks give the best performance, but many love the top coil tanks such as the iClears. Really, it will be personal preference. I would try an assortment of them to see what works for you.

- Good flavors is a relative and personal preference. What flavors do you think you might like? Drink flavors, dessert flavors, fruit flavors, tobacco flavors?

-Its good to have a few tanks at least. That way you can have one for tobacco flavours another for sweet flavours one for fruit flavours one for menthol/minty flavours.
-for me it depends on what brand im using, if you don't mix you own you dont often get much choice in the matter.
-As an all day vape I like tobacco flavours that have some sweetness to them Virginia or ry4.
-Yes
-The tobacco ones above, caramel, vanilla custard, cherry, raspberry, apple, vanilla bourbon. ATM I generally get a 10ml bottle and put 60% tobacco 20% caramel and 20% of a fruit flavour, or replace the caramel for a vanilla flavour, give it a good shake, and you've made your own blend.

When switching to different juices do you rinse your tank out or simply add the new and let the old run through?

I have multiple tanks. In general, I vape till my tank is empty, and then if the flavor I am changing to is very similar to what was in the tank I just refill with a new flavor. However, if I were switching from something like a coffee or bakery flavor to a fruit flavor I would rinse (and pulse dry burn the coils) before adding my new flavor.

what % pg/vg do you use?

A little of everything. Some qourmet eliquid vendors recommend a certain ratio depending on their flavor. Some vendors allow you to specify what you want. In general 50PG/50VG is a good place to start. PG carries the flavor, VG is responsible for vapor.

whats your favorite flavors?

Flavor is really subjective. I love fruit flavors. Bakery & chocolate I also love but I have had more misses than hits when ordering these online. I'm not much into the tobacco flavors. Again, it's all personal preference. Check out the ELiquid Forum for reviews by fellow members.

do different tanks work better for vapor production, throat hit ect? (have a kanger 3 and the I clear 30)

Vapor production is mostly dependent on the level of VG in your eliquid. The higher the VG% the more vapor you get. But you sacrifice flavor. Throat hit is dependent on many different things. The higher your nic level the more throat hit. The higher the wattage of your battery, the more throat hit. Most vapers lower their nic level when vaping at a higher wattage. Over time, I have gone from 18mg nic to between 0/6mg nic. 75% of my tanks are filled with 0% nic, 25% at 3/6% nic.

What are some good flavors to try?

If you have a brick and mortar store near you that has a flavor station, stop in and try out different flavors.

Thanks for all the replies! I actually have a store that opened up just down the street.. I have been hooked on the cinnamon since day 1.Definitely going to try some fruits as well. I didn't care for the regular tobacco flavors I got, and the other flavor was 36 g nic.... maybe a bit high! Thanks again for all the info!

I too love cinnamon and have one tank dedicated to it. Cinnamon (and citrus) flavors will crack your plastic/polycarbonate tank over time. They are best used in a glass tank. Over time I have switched to 100% glass as the flavor is much better IMHO. The cost of glass tanks has really dropped over the past year. You can pick up mini Protanks for less than $7 on FastTech and for around $10 on ebay and from other well-known internet stores.

1. when i switch juices i clean out my tank every time and rewick the coil
2. i like 50/50-70-30 VG/PG
3/5. 3 flavors i would recommend Cyclops Vapor : Poseidon if you like fruit flavors NicoTicket: H1N1 (aka the virus) if you're looking for a tobacco and The Vapor Huts wookie cookie for a dessert flavor, these are my go to juices.
4.yes different tanks make a huge difference in vapor/flavor production i would suggest reading about getting into rebuilding read much about it and get you a kayfun clone to give it a shot it's a game changer!

also great choice with the MVP2.0 its a sturdy APV
