I think you will be happy with it. The tank isn't my favorite though. I use a Melo2 on the iJust2 battery and a 0.3 Kanthal coil.

On a regulated box mod (eleaf TC60W) I run the Melo2 and 0.3 coil at 52 watts. I have no idea of course what the output of the iJust2 battery is, but it is quite comparable regards draw and performance that I find on the regulated box mod. Not only that, but the iJust2 battery has long life and the performance is consistent throughout the duration of the charge. So while it is technically a mechanical mod ... it seems in some way regulated.

I know the iJust2 battery has an onboard PCB but other than provided safety features, I have no idea if there are any performance features. I tried a 1.8 ohm coil in a tank on the iJust2 battery and it did sputter/pop just a bit while performing satisfactorily. I was able to tame that somewhat by use of the tanks air control.

I'm not really planning on using the tank to be honest, it's more of a handy freebie :) maybe hand if I'm in a jam though!
It is strange, there is no real definite answer as to what the mod actually is, I've been searching for something comparable to a mech but with some form of safety and protection. This seems to fit the bill, I'd love a mech but I know better than to experiment without a more in depth knowledge. Maybe a bit further down the line I'll look further into it.
I'll be either using my alliance v2 or my mutation X for flavour testing, normally I run a duel Clapton which comes out bang on .25 every time so I should be safe I think :)

Yep, the specifications of the battery are vague, other than the stated safety features. One of which is short circuit protection and that is a huge leap over a mechanical and does provide some peace of mind. The provided eleaf 0.3 ohm coil is what I stick with and it's never read as low as 0.25 (but is showing 0.27 ohms right now on my TC60W mod) so I have no idea how the iJust battery will "see" the 0.25 but suspect it will be okay.

The only thing I will add is that I wouldn't expect the precise performance you're likely to find when using a precisely adjusted regulated box mod but I think you understand that. Yet, for a tank on a stick, it's dang handy when dashing out the door and performs well.
Yeah I'm not expecting the perfect vape, just enough to flavour test and have a bit of power behind it.
From the specs this looks just the mod for the job really, and it does seem a perfect "sling a tank on and go" device.
