Lets be honest... The FDA is a business and in the end all that matters is making money. They want us to smoke cigarettes because they tax the s..t out of them and raise those taxes about every 6 months. E cig are cutting into the bottom line here and that is the real problem (to the FDA). They want us to smoke, and pay high taxes for them, and have health problems, so big Pharma can then start profiting from smokers. Doesn't anybody see the resemblance to the prohibition of a little green plant? Its a safer alternative to drinking, but how could they really regulate something anyone can grow in their backyard? They cant, so they outlaw it and try to get people to use something they can regulate and tax. Anyone who thinks the FDA actually cares about the health of the people is delusional. If this happens the result will be another black market, and then what? The War On E-cigs! LOL

We've discussed the FDA at great length, many times. The "Legislation" forum here is a great place for it.

Congress determines what authority the FDA has; it's then up to the FDA to decide what action they should take. Your vote and opinions do count.

I wanted to add to this. The only way you are guaranteed for them NOT to count is if you don't vote or keep your opinions on these issues quiet. You have to speak out to get heard.
