Fight for your Right to vape - Daily Action Plan for Wednesday 9-11-13

The Anti-ecig Massachusetts (H3639) bill by Jeffry Sanchez has been filed and referred to the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Public Health. Lets reach out to this committee and tell them to stop this bill. Also keep sending tweets to members of Congress.

Tell you ecig story to a member of the Joint Health Committee in Massachusetts. Tell them, How long you smoked, How long since your last cigarette and how you fell since you started using the Ecig.

Hello

I support banning the sale of e-cigarettes to minors, but I'd like you to vote NO on HB 3639 unless the ban on e-cigarette usage in public places is removed.

I tried every available method to try to quit smoking. Nicotine patches & gum, tobacco chew (yuck), cold turkey, hypnosis (twice) and finally found e-cigarettes.
For me it took a week of smoking and vaping to decide that vaping is better, on top of being considerably safer.
I've been smoke-free for over 5 months now and feel better, smell better, don't clear my throat all day, etc...we all know how gross smoking is.
One of the biggest factors of my success is vaping gives me the nicotine and the activity without the 3000+ harmful chemicals in cigarette smoke.

My wife successfully quit when I did and still uses her cigarette lookalike.
I started with a cigg lookalike but have upgraded to a longer lasting battery device with unlimited flavors to choose from.
Many business owners realize that vaping is a much safer alternative than smoking and many places I visit allow vaping.
I don't hide my nicotine use and I help educate who I can.
People ask me "what's that thing" or "what's in that thing" and some people ask for info while we discuss vaping.
I keep cards with me with web addresses to casaa.org, www.e-cigarette-forum.com and a few other helpful sites.

I might quit vaping someday but there's no rush. I quit smoking using safer vapor and that's the important thing.
Make vaping easier for smokers that want to quit. Not harder. Help save their lives.

Kids shouldn't smoke, vape, drink, do drugs, yada yada. Obviously.

Please ban minors from purchasing e-ciggs but please don't limit our (quitting smokers) access to such an invaluable tool.

If anything I feel our representatives should encourage e-cigg education and use.

Please visit CASAA.org website, as well as the CASAA Research Library, for more information.

Thank you

Hey everybody (or anybody), would it be better to use the terms: "Personal Vapor Device" and "Nicotine Delivery System" instead of e-cig? Cigarettes are a nicotine delivery system that uses combustion instead of atomizing a fluid. I know this might be splitting hairs, but the more we (vaporers) can remove ourselves from the negative politics and world view of smoking, the better we can mitigate our own destiny. Yes, I realize there are lots of politicians rubbing their greasy hand over the possibility of another 500% taxable revenue stream, and I do realize we are on borrowed time for the IRS to catch our stash. That being said, education starts with dictating the "terms" that define us and not being lumped into a category that we no longer belong to or are trying to get away from!

However, excellent post!

Thanks, I was considering the same thing but chose to go with what they know.
I'm so new at actually G'ingAF that I'm totally up for suggestions.
That's why I copy/pasted. So I can get some constructive criticism and spark discussion.
