Filling Joye 510 cartos

Kristen, I think you got mega cartridges rather than mega cartomizers. Those will only fit on the mega atomizers.

I think there's a little confusion in the terminology. What you got are cartridges which go on an atomizer. Carto is short for cartomizer which is a single unit comprising both the cartridge and the atomizer.

I love those sample bottles too! I never even frown at getting a sample of something I already have just because I'm excited to have another bottle. LOL

So when you do your fill sessions, how do you keep track of what flavor is in the carto? Do you use labels or what? I have a feeling this is what I should probably be doing so I can get the maximum amount of fluid into the carto to start with.

I use Avery filing labels and print them out, then cut into thirds. If you measure exactly, one-third of a file label makes exactly one complete wrap around the carto. They are three across on the page, and so cutting into thirds you have nine labels across. I had to start with the Avery template, then lay a table over the top of it to create nine across. They stick really well to the carto, then I put a bit of Scotch tape over them to keep them clean. I find that the printed labels run less than other types of ink if you get PG or VG on them. Ball point ink just turns into a big blob!

OK Kristen, then for sure what you need is an ego mega atomizer. I saw them listed on page 2 under the ego & accessories at FSUSA.

I syringe fill but refill with a 10ml bottle with a blunt needle through the threaded end. I don't remember where I got the quite handy bottle w/Luer-Lok blunt needle though or I'd post it.

Kristen, if you want to use the cartridges you have, you'll need the ego mega atomizer. For the atomizer that you have, you probably need standard 510 cartridges. I really only use cartomizers and drip on occassion.

get a drip tip and drip around the house and some royalsmoker XL ec-2 R4 ceramic cartos at 2.0 ohm when you are driving or otherwise need your hands. They hold 1.7ml, don't leak, and stop that incesscent cart topping off.

The CE2s didn't work for me Kristen, but since you have an ego, the ego mega cartomizers hold about the same amount as the CE2s.

I probably wont use them. I don't want to buy a Mega just for these few carts.. I will just get some blank carts to fill for my standard ego. There are just so many on the market. Boge 510 and Ikenvape gold is what I was told to get. So many choices!

The CE2s didn't work for me Kristen, but since you have an ego, the ego mega cartomizers hold about the same amount as the CE2s.

The revision 2 & 3 didnt' work for me either, but just got 100 in from www.e-liquid.cn and have to say they work great. None of the issues the first ones had. Best at HV of course but on a 900mAh ego they work better than any cart i ever tried. The XLs hold a lot of liq at ~1.7ml. 510 attys wick so poorly i could never get more than about 10 minutes of vaping even from the mega carts. FWIW

Reggae, I think what I got was rev 4s, and they work but always have a burnt flavor to me.

I use 510 cartomizers and a cone on an ego. I'm really liking these Joye 510 cartomizers, with the caveats that we've been discussing. Haven't tried the Ikenvapes, but have heard good things.
