Here are the photos of what I did. I added a piece of thick paper as a washer cause the knot would pull through the hole sometimes and go banging around in the fan. And of course use the plastic plug provided with the outer plastic too or it will really make a mess and battery end outward. LOL

compared to a regular atomizer, how long will a disposable cartomizer last? on the average, that is.

any opinions on the economical merits of using regular atomizers compared to the disposable cartys?

it is correct to assume that disposables cost less than regular atoms?
I was a 1 1/2 pack a day smoker. I now carry two cartomizers with me during the day switching between them and they last me all day. The cartomizers last for as long as you refill them in a timely manner. I have some that I've refilled probably 20 times. They last longer if you refill them before they go dry. :)

very enlightening, IBossJekler. this valuable info gives me some latitude on the choice of either a regular atomizer or a cartomizer which i plan to refill till it gives up the ghost.

in this part of my country, the only possible source of e-cig paraphernalia is manila, about 160 miles away so equipment reliability is a huge factor.

this is encouraging, thanks a lot.

There are plenty of vendors on this site. Read what you can about them, but from experience Vapor4life.com, Nhaler.com, and mstsbakery.com have great reputations and excellent service. And you can always expect some freebie's to try out from these guys too. :)
