Took me two weeks to figure out how to fill a smokymizer CE3 correctly.

1. Step 1 put the rubber piece (condom) that comes along with it on the bottom of the cartomizer. This seals the bottom and keeps the liquid from leaking out. Before doing this I was losing 1/2 the liquid out of the bottom.
2. Fill your syringe with Liquid to approximately 1.75ml
3. Remove the plug from the hole on the side. Insert the syringe into the far side hole and fill to the top.
4. Lean the cartomizer at an angle and reinsert the plug. I found it was almost impossible to insert it in with the atomizer facing straight up.

5. Do not remove the condom until you are completely finished. This means both the plug and any drip tip should be back on the ce3 PRIOR to removing the condom. He found that installing the drip tip after removal of the condom can also cause some kind of pressurizing effect and thus juice leakage from the bottom.

Until I began doing this I couldn't get the little plug back in and was losing them left an right. As stated above I was also losing most of the liquid out the bottom.

Good luck

Tomz this is a good succint post. I had the same issues and do all of the above. These things work fantastically. The only thing I would add to your post is this:

I've found that installing the drip tip after removal of the condom can also cause some kind of pressurizing effect and thus juice leakage from the bottom.

I bought my cartromizer at Digitalciggz. It is the CE3 Smokymizers 2.8ohm 1.2 ml Smoked Black.
I'm using it on a Provari at 3.9v.
For the liquid I'm using Halo Various Flavors 24mg mixed with 100mg Nic Propolyne Glycol from RTSVapes. I recommend RTSVapes 100mg liquid highly. It's perfectly clear and tasteless.

The Vape is very good, voluminous Vape, no filler taste.

Once I figured out how to fill the Smokymizer with the method above, It's the best solution I've run across.
I like that I can see when it's low and don't have to worry about constant wetting. Wicks well too.

Around 40mg. Remember, Everyone has a different tolerance to Nicotine.

I could smoke 24mg all day long and never be satisfied. With 40mg to 50mg, A few vapes and I'm a happy camper. No need for the higher voltages that burn juice like no tomorrow.

A high Nic level and a lower voltage makes for a very satisfying throat and lung hit.

I tried other 100mg liquids and RTSVapes is the cleanest.

I have a theory that the reason why many try E-Cigs and don't take to them is that until you get to around the 40mg level you just aren't getting the Nicotine of a regular cigarette. A new vaper coming off of Marlboro Reds isn't going to be satisfied with the amount of nicotine of a Ultra Light Cigarette.

Snus finally got me off cigs but I always liked the smoking experience, and never really loved the throat taste of snus, would irritate sometimes. When I tried ecig and a good tasting juice I loved it.I do not need a lot of nic, makes my ears ring anyway."Tinnitus".I love to be able to vape.Calms me a lot.Just my own experience.Others may need or crave something else.

I have a box of CE3's from TW, I don't get any funky taste.

All in all these things hit great, and when they don't leak, they are probably one of my top favorites.

However I have had a couple problems with leaking, first of all, I end up having to mop up the little cup area below the drip tip 2 or 3 times per fill. It seems that every puff I take I suck a little bit of juice up the air hole, and into that cup. It fills up way faster then just condensation that is for sure.

I can kinda deal with that issue though, its annoying, but bearable.

What I can't deal with is how they randomly decide to dump their juice out the bottom of the carto.

It doesn't happen often, but its always happened in the worst possible times for me.

It usually happens when traveling, and I think it is related to pressure changes in that come from changing elevation, and weather patterns.

All I know is that I have had a CE3 dump out its contents through the battery connector more then once, but it seems pretty random.

Other then that, I love the vape they produce.

I've had no leaking problems. I also haven't noticed any liquid coming up when I vape. I'll check back in if I do.

The first time I put my trust in them was on the way to Vapefest in vegas last month, left my house with 3 full ce3's, got to vegas a couple hours later and found they had all pretty much dumped their load.

Even then, it is just so random, I have used the same ones many many fills since and havn't really had much of an issue.

I really think it has to do with pressure changes, when I am just sitting around home, or at work, I have never had this problem.

Also I don't notice the liquid as its comming up the air tube or anything, I just end up with the top cup under the drip tip totally filled with liquid once or twice through the course of vaping it.

On a semi-unrelated note... I seem to be in the minority that has really grown to like these things, but supplies seem to be drying up :(

I realize that some folks (me included) have had issues with CE3s frying batteries, thus the suppliers may be shying away from selling them. However I still much prefer them to the CE2s, because they seem to taste less burnt and "plastic-y" .

So... does anyone know a reputable vendor who still has stock?

I took one apart last night 'cuz I messed up the wick(don't pull them apart to clean them) cleaning it. cut the tube below the seal at the mouth piece and de-wicked the atty 100%. The problem is that too much juice ends up in the atty end. It gets pulled off the wick and/or atty when you draw on it and it comes up the air hole into the mouth piece. You can watch juice move up and down the air hole when it's in there. The wick enters a slot in the side of the atty. What it needs is something like carto-fluff to trap the juice or the air hole moved to the side with and a small hole in the side of the atty to let the vapor move to it. The air tube hole is right next to the wicks hole. It wouldn't surprise me if heat compromises the very small distance between them. They can waste a lot of juice. Luckily I make my own cheap so not a big issue for me.

When the air hole is clear and the atty isn't soaked they are great. I'm starting to prefer them on 5V. Don't seem to have as big of a problem with the air hole weeping juice.

Not letting the juice sit against the atty end also seems to help as well as not filling them real full to keep juice from sitting at that end.
