Filling the Smokymizer CE3 for Dummies

pyro...yep there is some juice wastage....they just perform better for me than anything else...i never get juice in the mouth but i do have to mop maybe twice per fill i figure this works out to about 3 drops per fill give or take?

I just received a pack today of these, and followed the 5 steps (topped up one on the battery because i was lazy ...that was a mistake ).

So far i enjoy them and havent seen any major leaks. Im curious about the durabilty though.

I sucked up the juice with my filling syringe. A little over .25ml on an 80% fill. Later in the day I refilled it. Down to about 1/4 full. Haven't needed to suck any juice out of the mouthpiece. So it varies, and even for the same cart. So far these are my favorite(2.4ohm on Ego). Boge SR close second, dripping on a 510. I have 2.8ohm coming to try on a high power passthrough.

Don't throw these away if the atty still works. They are fantastic for dripping. better than a Joye 510. No mesh and 100% of the wick can be easily removed. Either put the atty in another tube(old metal cartos) whack the CE3 in half, or make a pipe.

Thanks for the site recommendation, Jbankston - I managed to order some as well. TW was sold out. Anyone know if these things are going away, being re-engineered or what?

BTW, I tried a new ""old stock" CE2 just for giggles, and it still tasted like burnt plastic. Bleh The CE3 smokies just have the most consistent hit of anything I've found. Filling can be a ....., but not so much as dripping IMHO.

I just hope they aren't going to quit making them. The CE2s problem is that it is fighting gravity.

Another tip for filling CE3s:

Before pulling off the condom, slide something (blunt needle, toothpick, whatever) between the body and the condom to break the vacuum. Saves a lot of juice.

And a half-tip:

Don't put your finger over the end of the drip tip when you're inserting it. And don't squeeze the body, either.

Also:

Changes in altitude are the same as changes in pressure. Over the holidays, I bought a box of CE3s in Tucson (2,389 ft). Filled one and drove up to Los Alamos (7,320 ft). What a mess!

Just got my first box of these - I was skeptical - but I like the design, and thought by researching and seeing the best way to fill these that they would be a good solution for me. Unfortuntely - even using this method precisely, as soon as remove the condom, they begin to seep juice out the battery end :-( It almost like the condom creates a vacuum and Sucks at the juice to get the leaking started. am I missing something? I have seen some videos where they dont use the condom at all and hold t in there bare hands. I tried that approach as well but with paper towel, and ended up with half my juice in the was of towel. What a bugger, cuase when I fianlly get the mess clemed up and the leaking slowed down, i get a few vapes and really like it.

Try this. Once you pull the condom off, immediately put it on your PV. Now take 5-7 hits. If you cant inhale those all its ok, the idea is to create a vaccum inside the carto. Then pull the CE3 off the PV, mop any juice on the threads, wipe the CE3, reinstall everything. Don't know why but after taking a few hits, the leaking WILL stop.
