Filling z-atty-pro makes a huge mess

I must be doing something wrong - when I fill my ZAP with the included syringe through the fill hole the liquid bubbles up through the wick hole and runs down the side of the Provari, making a huge mess. This happens no matter how slowly I fill it. I've had this for just a few days and haven't made any modifications to it so I'm wondering if I need to do something to avoid the leakage. I could handle a drop or two leaking, but it's making a big mess, wasting liquid, and eventually I'm going to fry something cleaning it up with a wet paper towel/wet hands.

I believe this is happening because your wick is filled up with juice and as your filling through the other hole the air/juice that's currently in your tank needs to escape somehow and is being forced out the only other opening which is the wick......
This may be a little messy too but worth it. try blowing trough the wick and clearing the juice out of it.
Or your wick is too snug in the hole. You could try loosening it by making a thinner wick and that may help with some ventilation !
Lmk if that works

I don't have a "ZAP", but it sound like a vacuum problem.
Is the air getting out as the liquid is taking it's place.
If not, then the liquid will comes right back out from the pressure, as there is no room for it.
Some tanks you have to turn upside down to fill (or tilt) so the air can escape.
Play with filling it with just plain water, and see if it works.

Exactly! That's what I was trying to say lol a vacuum

It's definitely a vacuum (lock) issue that seems to be caused by a small amount of liquid (70/30) sealing the small gap around the needle in the hole. It looks like the liquid is coming up the needle once it is submerged in the liquid, perhaps by capillary action, so I'll try filling it with the tip of the needle outside of the liquid, and will then try the suggestions given here (thanks!). Will play with it once this tank is done, don't want to clean it up again right now.

Apparently I can't post YouTube links yet.
