happened last night when i snuck a vape in the lab office. the new girl's husband is a smoker and it was like i suddenly showed her that cloud 9 exists! showed her the site, gave her one of the many cards i have, and showed her the best kits to go for for a starter. i also then showed how to pop open the cart to refill the main way, as well as the quick way with putting juice in the condom and pushing the cart in.

through all that, my other coworker who likes to tease me about it, seemed interested -- especially when i assured they have regular tobacco flavor (and i came to find sadly that caramel, to me, tastes like tobacco so i might give her one of the bottles for refilling) even if i think she'll wind up trying some of the alcohol flavors.

we go smoke free in MI in bars/workplaces/etc in may, so i subtly reminded her of that, and ... she took a card!

hopefully they order soon. there's only one more co-worker i wish to assimilate......

Way to go! It's fun teaching people! Today I sat next to a lady in my Women's group and she had seen my post about vaping on face book..her hubby just started! She asked a million questions. Of course I gave her a V4L card and mentioned how much easier cartos would be to vape when they go out on their motorcycle. He is trying to vape a 510 with her changing out carts for him! Insane..not to mention a leaford lanyard!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!! YOU MUST FEEL LIKE A LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!

What about converting a husband??? Any suggestions? We have both been smokers for 18 years, about a pack a day. We have also been smoking the same brand for a while (since the last time I fell off the wagon on an attempt to quit)>Marlboro Smooth. I was never a menthol smoker until then. That was about 2 years ago.

I DIDNT EVEN TRY TO QUIT ANALOGS & HE KNOWS IT!! The V4L came and I just stopped smoking....just like that. I cant figure out how its not tempting to him. I don't want to push it because that doesn't work on him. Well...I've only been off for 2 weeks, maybe it will just take him a little while longer?

I have one co-worker who was converted the second she saw it and some others that are think seriously about it. We will see what happens!

My boyfriend quit smoking cold-turkey in early January... I could tell that he was miserable, so I tried turning him on to vaping - he wasn't interested. Soooo... guess who's back to smoking analogs? Yep.. he is. Not me, though!

stoked -- i would almost just hope the power of suggestion and 'watching' would work, if he's resistant/stubborn. maybe if he sees how you're enjoying it, feel better, things like that? are there any others out there who converted husbands/significant others? maybe they can give suggestions too.

i suppose there's only so much you can do i guess. i would think the many flavors, the convenience, and the breathing/tasting better and lack of cancer possibilities would be enough, lol!

Most of the ones I've converted are using the e-cig when they're somewhere they can't smoke. Wish they would take the plunge and try it for a quitting device. I just gave a friend a set-up yest., she sounds serious about quitting. I'm waiting for her to call so I can complete my order. It's hard to understand why people aren't as passionate as we are.

AJmoore,

as for husbands... mine vapes part time/smokes part time... i'm confident he'll switch on his own, but i am 'helping' by tempting him with new flavors and mixes to make it more attractive. ;) i'd say carry some extra gear when you're going somewhere he can't smoke and offer him a vape "just for now"... he'll get interested. ;)

I got interested in e-cigs from a post on another forum. They recommended this forum and I started reading up. I then ordered two starter kits with extra e-liquid, one in white for the wife and black for myself. When they came in I told her about them and we sat down, opened our brand new kits, and started learning together.

We have both been analog free since about three days afterward. I am not sure what would have happened, had it been the other way around, if she was the one that tried to introduce me to e-cigs.

I have gotten about 8 guys at work interested in e-cigs, one of their wives and one lady has introduced her mother to them. Not to exclude some parents, brother in laws and sisters that they have gotten started as well.

We lost an employee February 1st to lung cancer. He was a 63-year-old Vietnam Vet, ex-Firefighter, 40+ year, 2 pack a day smoker like me. I ordered some more disposables to hand out – there is still more work to do...
