Finally followed the Yellowbrick Road

So I have had a kayfun lite/Russian 91% pretty much sitting around since I bought it. I pulled the trigger last week and ordered some 28ga Kanthal Wire and some silicon wick. After reading what seemed like countless threads about coil building, I finally gave it a try. My first coil build was vertical micro coil and instead of using the silicon wick I ordered I used 100% cotton. First try came out to 1.2 ohms. OMG, why haven't I done this sooner?

The amount of flavor and the cloud production was incredible. First build took me all of 15 minutes. I didnt have handheld meter available so I used my VTR to check my ohms. Yes I know that the reading is usually +/- .2 ohms so I have taken that into consideration. I build three more coils in the exact same manner and all came out at the exact same resistance. I had also ordered a Origin mech mod clone that I hadn't put to the test yet. I was hesitant about my battery (Panasonic 18650B) but threw in a penny fuse and and now I am in hog heaven.

For those who are on the fence about trying this let me say you need to pull the trigger!

P.S. I also received my two IBTanked cartomizers and my NicoTicket "Custard's Last Stand" and "Creme Brulee" in the vape box yesterday. I do believe I have died and gone to Heaven.

Just recently got into building coils on my PT2, of all things, both horizontal and vertical, with cotton, now have a Kayfun LT waiting at the Post Office. Took me almost a year to get the courage, motivation, WHATEVER, to try rebuilding just shy of 1 year smoke free........if only I had HAD a B & M or someone PHYSICALLY near by who could have let me experience the difference in both flavor and vape, I would have been rebuilding 4-6 months into my smokeless existence.
