Finally got around to saying hello

Hello ECF,

My apologies for not introducing myself sooner, I've been here a while, but real world stuff has gotten in the way this last 18 months.

A quick introduction about myself.

I've been vaping now for just over 5 years - 3.5 years 100% cigarette free and what totally converted me to vaping was my old dual coil viva nova and smoktech magneto. It was here where I cut my teeth on and my love affair with mechs began.

I only buy genuine vaping devices as I personally believe in supporting mod makers and seeing some of the clone gear, I wouldn't touch it with a barge poll.

That said, each to there own and i will often say personally in my opinion, as its just that my opinion and the choices i have made.

Since then I now own over 18 mechs and only 2 regulated mods, with a love affair for Perseus's work in Greece and Aldin's work in Bosnia

As for RTAs / RDAs I have a love affair with Taifun GT v1's and v2's owning 15 off them, for me personnel the way i vape they just suit my style of vaping - and a 5ml tank with an 18650 mod lasts me all day

That said in the last year and a half the Squonking bug has taken grip of me and an loving using my LP Reo Grands and Laik mods with bf Zeniths

Hi and welcome. I'm a mekkie too, and them Greeks do have a way with vape mods. I have three from Metal Madness, and I love them. I also just got a Fakir's from Turkey and it's the bomb, too

I know what you mean by the Greek mech mods I've 2 MMV Nanos's 1 single and 1 double lock, 2 GP Paps v3 Luxe each with 18650 ss tubes, 2 GP Paps v4's with upgraded silver contacts, 2 GP Paps X v1.5 with upgraded silver contacts, 1 Atermon, 1 Precise T Workhorse, 2 Foggatti DX 510's with silver plated contacts, 2 Zvjier Minis.......... thats what i can remember, then there is the Mech Squonk mods

For me mech tube mod = Greek modder = quality

I was the same, I'l nerve and ligament damage in both hands and a trusty mech tube just fits perfectly for me.

That said, I've just picked up a vapourflask Lite and I shouldn't be saying this, but it does feel nice in the hand and works surprisingly well - not that I've any regulated devices to compare it too

The only one I really looked at the Wismec RX200. Will have to take a look at the Vapourflask. I like the idea of one the fits comfortably in the hand.

Its the new Vaporflask Lite, made by Wismec. They are approx. £58 -£60 in the UK (with any discount codes applied) and go up to 70 watts with temp control, SS, NI options as well. Only a single 18650, but I'm only using mine at 14.4w, so easily lasts the whole day

AAHH found the closet where the mech mod folks hanging out...so I need some input...I don't collect mods..I'm a sucker for collecting gennys..but I need a new mech mod as one of my old ones bit the dust, and I'm down to only one mod.I need another, and so how about some input guys...don't even suggest MCR I refuse to deal with them anymore,they just jerked me around for a month...I was thinking of the Paps v4, but ordering a mod from them seems like a circus having to wait for vape day, you just can't order a mod..I really wanted a 22mm nanos,not the 22.6 nanos, but I can't find one and it seems to me like MM isn't too interested in continuing the nanos line,but I could be wrong....and then I was looking at the foggatti DX mod...I like the look of it I guess I was wondering how well it stands up to heavy use that litttle spring loaded washer in the button has me a little concerned for heavy usage, and I'm not real crazy about the absence of a derlin ring at the button end of the switch.when I say heavy usage I don't mean I build low sub-ohm but that I'm rough on mods.

I believe you are correct that MMV have discontinued the Nanos I managed to get a couple before they stopped making them but in 22.6mm (luckily with additional double locks for when out and about) as I mainly use Taifun GT 23mm atty's and this was a nice compromise when using either 22 or 23mm atty's - but i wish i had picked up a 22mm seamless version as well now

I've 6 VapourArt mods 2* GP PapsX's 2* GP Paps Luxe v3;'s and 2* GP Paps v4's and personally they are superb quality, build, a dream to vape and Perseus is amazing to deal

I've just looked as seen that the Paps v4 is on pre-order but I wouldn't imagine a long wait - or there is a Paps v3 (18500) in the outlet store for €75.

That or go to the Foggatti online store, as he is doing (I think the last limited run) of the Foggatti DX 510 in 316 Stainless Steel - another great mod for me personally the button stands out there as one of the greats along with the GP Paps v3 and v4 and also against the Nemesis and MMV Nanos. BUT I'd be quick as foggatti is only making 650 of these - i bought no.2 to go with the original version with brass which i loved so much

If you like wooden mods, I suggest having a look at Aldin on UKVapers forum - he custom makes you the Zvijer mini mod - but a list if not already full - but both the customer service, choices and overall finish are amazing - again in my personal opinion

The Nemesis is old but still in my opinion a great work horse and available on the Atmomixani website, with spare also readily available

Another option is the Atmistique Atermon - side fire button, but another one I own and love to use.

There are others, but these are the ones that I own and would recommend

what the heck is the deal with vapour art I can't figure how you order a v4 from them do you get a preorder or do you have to wait to a certain day when they release eveything at once...also do you think getting spare parts for them will be hard.I want a mod I can get replacement parts for and not find out the mods been discontinued.
Also what do you think of how the button works on the v3..I like the fact you can sit the v3 down on end and because of the recessed button it won't fire..however though I like this feature I wouldn't want to get the v3 if the button doesn't function very well.
