I am totally brand new to vapeing! It started last week when the Walgreens lady gave me a little pamphlet for the Blu disposables. I thought about it a bit and when I went back to Walgreens I decided to try some and got and Njoy starter kit... YUCK!!!!! Tasted like stale tobacco.... But I definitely liked that I didn't smell like smoke and I could see the good in it. I decided to try a Blu disposable instead and really liked the first one, which prompted me to find this forum. Can I say OVERWHELMING amount of info! (thank goodness for youtube clearing some stuff up visually) After some reading and vid watching I decided to get the KGO from Northwest Vapors. I ordered it and some ejuice... then some resurrector cartomizers from CCV and some ejuice from gourmetvapors. I can't wait to see which flavors I like the best!

Since I ordered I've tided myself over with the blu disposables... they are SO unreliable! The first one was great, the second one was too "watery" and burned by throat, and I bought one this morning to replace that and I felt like there was no throat hit at all and I was getting nothing out of it! I was so frustrated by the end of the day I was praying for my stuff to get here and hoping it was better!

This afternoon when I got the mail..... YAY! My KGO and my Cartomizers!!!!!! :) WOW WOW WOW... so much better! I've only tried the apple and I'm not sure I like it, but I've got a few other flavors to try. I'm gonna love this!

I really want to thank you guys (and the reviews on youtube) and all the good info I've read on here so far for helping me out.

Some quick questions because I still feel dumb and this thing came with really crummy instructions... can I refill the cartridges?? and if so how many times? Or do I need to throw them out each time. I figured I'd use the cartridges and atomizer until I find a flavor I really like and I'll use the cartomizer then... is that a good idea?

Can someone explain the point of the drip tip to me a little more? I got two of them and it looks cool on it hahaha but I know thats not the point. I saw on a youtube video on line someone say they were more of a 'dripper'???

Thanks again!!!

Hello, and welcome to the community! From your post I think we may have watched the same video review that also led me to purchase a KGO from Northwest Vapors, ha! Did you happen to buy blueberry as well by any chance? I have had my KGO for a couple of weeks now and it is a wonderful PV. To answer your questions, you can refill the cartridges! I think they come pre-filled but you can use some tweezers or something to pull out the fiber inside, give everything a good rinse, set aside, and it should be good to go once it dries. When it comes to choosing between cartridges + atomizers or cartomizers, it comes down to personal preference. In the short time I've had my KGO I've tried various tanks, cartomizers, and cartridges, but have found myself using standard 510 cartomizers most frequently. It will definitely be an interesting journey finding your vaping "sweet spot". As for drip tips, I don't necessarily use them for their proposed function (instead of having to pop off the tip of the cartridge to add some liquid to prevent drying, you can just drop liquid into the tip), but enjoy the feel of it; nostalgia from smoking hookah all the time back home in Taipei.

Anyways, I hope I was of some help! All the best and happy vaping.

HA! Thanks for the reply! I didn't get the blueberry actually.... I got coconut, kahlua and coffee and caramel. I am really wondering about my choices now.... from the gourmet vapors I have Banana Fosters on the way and I am really excited for that one, I'll be so disappointed if it's awful! LOL

Thanks so much for the answers. I was putting this beast together thinking that if I had to replace everything I was gonna spend some money fast! So far this by far blows away what I've already messed around with. This whole venture started as a "quitting smoking thing" and I still plan on taking it down to 0 nicotine.... slowly. :) Thanks for the welcome... I'm already thrilled with this KGO so I'm not sure how much sweeter it can get! LOL

You suppose it's possible to overdose on the vapors and nicotine... ha!

The term dripper means someone who drips directly onto an atomizer. The drip tips keep your mouth off of the hot atomizer barrel and further from the coil. They are sized so drops of juice can be dripped through them. You can use them on cartos as well.

A lot of people like cartos. But, with the ones that I have experience with, they needed to be topped off very frequently to avoid scorching/melting of the filler material. IMHO, dripping on an atty seems like less wasted juice, better taste, and works better. Easier to switch between flavors as well.

Get some 306 (with a 306 drip tip) and 510 atomizers of various configurations and resistance and experiment.

Congrats on the new Kgo!

Yes. Not sure what others will tell you but I get the same feeling I used to get when I smoked too many cigs too fast. I dont like the jittery feeling of too much nicotine. I lowered my nic from 24 and 18mg to 12. With 12mg juice I can go all day. Most like to stay higher when they are just trying to quit but Im way past that now so I lowered the nic level but I think I vape even more now.

Thanks for the advice bullwinkle.. I'll have to try the cartomizers I think and see how it goes. If it's not for me I'll do what you suggest with the 510 atomizers :)

driquist, I am starting to feel a little nicotined out.... I don't like that feeling either unless I'm drinking, which I really don't drink often. I'm using 18mg so maybe going down to 12 is an idea to see how it goes... some of the ejuice I have on the way is 12 so that will be a good experiment for me.

Here's a tip on liquid you may not like at first. It's called steeping. If the taste isn't to your liking, set the liquid aside for a week or two. Then try it again. Lots of times the taste will be much better. Sometimes it won't improve. Gourmet Vapors is one I usually have to steep. So, don't throw it out without giving steeping a try.

I am a couple of weeks ahead of you. The KGO was recommended to me and I too love it!!! I have cartomizers, the drip tip, and a clearomizer tank. The cartomizers I just pop off the top and fill. There is a condom method you can look up on youtube as well... I have tried that to and also a syringe which really works well. I am learning a lot. I have tried my drip tip, but I've got to look up how many drops/inhales per... :) The clearomizer tank I am having my own issues with burnt inhales. If you have questions I can try to help some as I have been stumbling through this as well for a couple of weeks :) Take Care and Welcome!!!!

lar, put your drip tip on the atomizer and drop about 3-4 drops straight into the atomizer. That way you can taste your juice without messing with either a cartridge or a cartomizer. It's best to test with an atomizer and drip tip before you commit a cartomizer to a juice you might not even like, so you have that idea right.

Not sure what kind of cartridges you have, but you can generally refill cartridges until the just wear out.

Definitely check out the "condom method" to fill cartomizers. There are many YT vids about it. You don't need to mess with syringes or wait forever for the juice to soak in. Once you get the hang of it, it's quick, easy and accurate so you don't waste any juice. And no, it doesn't involve condoms. :)

LMAO!! Do you know... I've read about the "Condom method" on here and haven't bothered to look it up because I was thinking it did involve condoms... hahahahaha Thanks for the clarification!! Seemed like a lot of work....

Bruiser... thanks for the advice on steeping! I actually thought the apple grew on me, but I also tried the Kahlua and Coffee I got last night and it was AWFUL so I will try that and see. :)

THanks everyone! lots of good tips on here!!!!
