Finally had to replace a coil... after 6 months. LoL

I got my first Chobra 6 months ago & set it up with the wire that came with it. It's been vaping like a champ until this afternoon. Driving home after work & a quick stop @ the grocery. Happily vaping away.

10 minutes from the house, puff, puff... no vapor. Check that the MVP was on... yep. Puff, puff... no vapor.

Get home & throw it on the Provari. Open circuit. Grabbed the first spool of wire at hand, 4 quick turns, 1.6Ω. Back to vaping in under 10 minutes - start to finish.

Take that clearomizers!

I WAS impressed that my AGA T+ has made it a month and counting on one coil. Oh, I still love my clearos and carto tanks though.

It never ceases to amaze me about these things. I've been using RBAs exclusively for about 9 months; and I can honestly say that I've never had to replace a coil. The only time I ever recoil is when I get a wild hair about something, and decide to experiment. When I leave them alone, they just last and last.

My condolences to CountSmackula. Hope the re-coil didn't break your budget. I know it's tough, but I'm sure you'll come out stronger.

I may link this thread the next time I see someone say RBA's are only for mechs and are wasted on VV devices.

At about $9 for 100' of wire it costs about $0.03 to recoil an RBA

Never again will I buy a $2-$4 replacement atty head!
