Credo, You have to push the soft mouth piece all the way back in after you fill it. They ship the carto with the mouth piece loose. In fact it can be so tight that you have to be careful not to pull the center tube out when you remove it again.

Unless you mean I'm supposed to force all these little soft grooves down in there (which won't be easy at all)...it's not going down any further.

Hey guys, just stopping by to say that I received my order of Vortex cartos today and they're working great! I can't believe how easy they are to use and fill. I'm glad that my pawn drip tips fit and created a good seal as the original mouthpiece (as others have stated) doesn't stay on the carto and could lead to a disaster in one's pocket. They vape really, really well. I'm very happy with it!

Thanks for the update. Can you suggest at home improvements to bring my as of yet to arrive Vorti up to the standards of the next batch/test batch?

I think all the grooves on the cap are meant to be inside the tube. You should only have a little more than 1/16" outside. Look at the detail of the cap and you'll see what I mean. Judging by the design, the carto is useless if the cap is lost. If you slip a silicone ring down the tube and use a drip tip, it would have to be very snug to prevent leakage. It would be very difficult to refill liquid.

"Wrap a layer of PTB around..."..? Paper Tea Bag..? But, the solution has nothing to do with the PTB which is already in place(?..filter paper), but rather in the insertion of the mouthpiece? Thanks.

PTB = Pyramid Tea Bag

It's an extremely fine mesh some people use to mod E2's for better wicking.

If this is the case...no way...it'd take me forever to get that to fit in there...and would be a booger ever getting it out...and I'd probably break something in the process. That'd also be several drops fewer juice capacity. I could go for stuffing half of it in there, and that would hold it in for sure...but it's not going.

Hey...I'm loving the vape on this thing :)

Hello, looking good! Some questions:

1. Do we know how long until native 510 models will be available?
2. Will the 510 model be the same resistance as these 808's (@ 2.4ohm) or will they incorporate the 2.1ohm resistance?
3. Are these exclusive to GotVapes? Or will we be seeing these at all of the popular vendor's sites?

I may take the plunge for the current version, I am a bit curious why they start out with 808 vs 510 though.

Thank you,

ice

no the grooves are where your lips go, they can be a little loose on some and that is being fixed for the next batch. You can also use a drip tiP(ALL CLEAR TYPES FIT AND WORK)and it doesnt leak even upside down. Thank you all for the feedback.

Great feedback...yes Chris and I's experiences were great out of the box and glad to hear everyone is experiencing similar. When you vape these and have a VV don't jack things up so fast. As Zoid stated start at around a 3.2v. My best experience with these was at 3.7v. These are really designed, in their present state, that they are goign to be vaped on an eGo/VGO type of device not a HV mod.

Nice thing is if you are vaping with a 3.7v and have several days in you can always switch back down to a 3.2v if you have a regular regulated eGo as the resistance of any coil sometimes will go down during the life of the coil...

Wow!, got mine in today, ripped open the package , opened the small box , removed the tip, poured in the juice, replaced the tip, gazed at it for a sec. then put it on the eGo batt and stated to vape,so easy.great taste and vapor production..ahhhhhhhh nice!
read about the tip,it's supposed to go further in???. won't go,so tried the flat black tip from the new thick rope clear fluxomizers, and fits perfect. won't have to worry bout losing the tip..

You guys get to finally find out what Chris and I were so excited about for the past two months until we could also get them in your hands...

Also...the mouthpiece is great on these, when I first saw the design I was worried how it would feel on the lips as we all know lil things like that can be niggling...but to my surprise I found I probably like the tactile feel on these better than anything I have used.

Vortex - win : )
