Finally! My Riva 510 has arrived!

Thanks to everyone who was helping me out over the last couple weeks. My Riva 510 just arrived today and even after just a couple hours, I am very pleased. I have one battery charging, but I couldn't wait to try it out so I am using one battery until the 8 hour initial recommended) charge time is up. So far I've gotten way better use out of this thing than those 7-11 ones. This actually feels like I am taking a real drag off an analog, but tastes so much better currently with the cappucino juice I am using right now.

It took me a bit to figure out how to fill these cartomizers however. They aren't ones that you can pop the top off and refill because inside they are solid and can't be taken apart that way, so I have had to use the condom method. It's funny cuz up until a couple hours ago I had no idea what that was and thought it actually involved a condom in some way! It's very effective, quick, and works well it seems though. I make sure to take that extra drop or two that's left over and pour it back into my containers though.

Anyway, very pleased so far after such a short time and I am not even remotely close to craving an analog. I did try the Pall Mall flavor first just to compare to the real thing, and now I am a little upset that I got as much of that flavor that I did because it's terrible. I will save that as my backup juice in case I ever get low.

I wish I would have gotten some colored cartomizers however, but I guess that's just something I needed to learn. Right now I make sure to just keep the caps on them and use a fine point sharpie to write on the caps which flavor is in which carto.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone who was such a big help. I am very pleased so far, and I hope this battery lasts at least until that 8 hour charge time is up so I hopefully don't get tempted by analogs. I have half a pack left, and I hate seeing them go to waste, but if I can manage to not bother with them throughout the night then tomorrow I will just give them to someone else I think.

Here are the flavors I have and my opinions of the few I have tried...

Pall Mall (crap)
Cappucino (great taste and TH)
Fireball (Tastes like cinnamon bubblegum, but I've only used it in a hacked 7-11 cart, but seemed good)
Pina Colada
Red Bull
Beer (I know this will probably be terrible, but I had to know)
Wyat Earp (Was a sample included, so I have no idea what it is).

then of course I got the Riva 510 obviously, and that came with 2 atomizers and 10 blank carts which I will save for a time when my cartomizers are running low, and also 15 blank cartomizers. I think I am set for a little while until I get all this down. Thanks again!

As soon as that light turns green on the charger start vaping!!!! That extended charge time is for older style batteries not lithium batts! Congrats on the Riva, I have that and an E-go and I love them both!

One carto filled has lasted at least 2-3 times as long as those crappy 7-11 e-cigs too with no loss in vapor yet after a couple hours now. Granted, I am vaping maybe one good puff every 5 minutes.

Battery life is awesome on them. Get a case to hold them, fill up a couple carts and your day is set!

Ok, the Beer flavor from FSUSA is terrible and tastes like stale keystone that's been rotting in a recycling bin for a week. I am tossing that bottle for sure. I would rather go analog than to use that as a backup. I assumed it would be bad, but I had to try, just in case.

I've always been tempted to give a beer flavored juice a try, but thats pretty much how I imagined it would probably taste.

I honestly think that the sweeter juices are likely to be the "best" in terms of flavor and lasting. I know today is my first day, but so far this is how I am seeing it. I actually just went outside and had a Pall Mall, even though I had no craving. It did nothing for me but give me more nicotine in my system that wasn't needed. I even drink regularly (about a 6 pack or so a night) and those who drink will agree with me that quitting smoking is damn near impossible. Well, even after having about 4-5 beers this evening, and even after having that analog, I feel that it was not necessary. But it was something I was curious about, after not having an analog for about 6 hours. I am glad to say, even after some beers, it did nothing for me.

Ok, just tried the pina colada flavor. Not great, but far better than tobacco. It tastes a bit of pineapple and coconut, though I am sure it's more of a smell than an actual taste. I just started on my third carto today, but since they were empty carto's, I suspect that they need to be "primed" like a wick in a lantern perhaps in order to last properly. I am hoping this is the case, otherwise this might not be as cheap as I had hoped.

I need to get carto's that are easier to refill and wash out. The ones I have, have no way to be opened and cleaned, so I have to make sure to use the same flavors in them, and since they are all the same color (black) it's difficult. I took a fine point sharpie and wrote the flavor on the condom for each one, but that is fading off really easily. I think I need to go with the Boge carto's next time, even if they are all the same color, just so I can drip into the mouthpiece rather than use the condom method. At least that way I could see how filled my carto's are getting. Tomorrow I think I might try a syringe to fill through the atty side and when it begins to overflow, just wipe off the excess, and let it sit for a bit before using it.

It'll be trial and error I think, but eventually I'll have it down!
