Hey all,

I know my join date is 4/2010, but this is my first post!! I found ECF when I was researching e-cigs 2 years ago. Unfortunately, I went with something I don't remember the name of and Blu. I hated them. My husband got one too and hated it. We didn't use them for very long at all. We didn't quit either for a long time. Towards the end of 2010 we managed to quit with the patches but it only lasted about 9 months.

I got a wild hair and decided that I didn't want to smoke anymore, but that i'm not ready to quit completely. I still need the act of smoking for sure. So I started researching and reading (and reading and reading) posts on here. I came to the decision that I should try the ego-c for my first "real" vaping experience.

I got it in last night and WOW!! So much better than those nasty blu's!! Just today I went from smoking 10-14 analogs a day to 2 today!!! I can't believe how much it helps!! I want an analog pretty bad, but the ego works well enough to take care of it.

I ordered a couple clearomizers and DCT from litecigusa (and different juice) and I can't wait for them to get here!! It seems from posts that they have better taste and vapor. I really wanted the Vision EgO transparent Clear-o-mizer but they are out of stock!! Eventually....

Happy to be quitting!!

Welcome to ECF.

If you still have bad cravings with the ecig, up the strength of your nic juice and that should get the cravings under control. Also, be sure to drink lots of water, more than you think you need. vaping is dehydrating. Water will help with the cravings and will help flush the cig toxins out of your system, AND make your eliquids taste better.

Thanks for the tips!! I'm liking 11mg right now. I have 16mg also but the TH is to much. Makes me cough, but I do use it when the cravings are bad.

Why does vaping dehydrate you? I can see the amount respiration might contribute, but not anymore than smoking I'd think. I'll definitely up my water though!! Thanks again!

The non technical answer is that the vapor you see is water drawn from your body.....That's not strictly true, but close.......LOL

PS.......To tone down the harsh throat hit, you could run to Walmart or a pharmacy and pick up a bottle of VG (Vegetable Glycerin). It's usually by the alcohol and the brand will most likely be Humco, 6 oz for about 3.00. It's USP so it's fine to use. Put a drop or two in your eliquid. It will mute the flavor a little, but should be still vaporable. Use a small bottle to mix in in case you don't like the results.

AWESOME! Good for you and the hubby...

Depending on what you smoked before "lights" or REDS.

24mg roughly can replace the nic fix a Marlboro Red smoker needs from vaping.
18mg roughly can replace the nic fix a Marlboro Medium smoker needs from vaping.
12mg roughly can replace the nic fix a Marlboro Light smoker needs from vaping.
and
I have read Ultra-light is 6mg

Once you get the nic level right, you will NOT crave cigs. Guaranteed.

Cheers!
